It seems they are now spending a lot of money trying to get it going after restricting our original farmer financially, questioning everything & accusing him of not doing “his job” & much more. It was a sad & disgusting state of affairs the way things were handled & the accusations fired at the farmer & his staff. I & my partner did a lot of volunteer work there over the 21/2mths that our original farmer was there for before resigning, so can vouch for his integrity, honesty, commitment & hard work he put in against the odds.
I believe they still do not have a farmer.
We had a committee of 6 which 4 left a few weeks after appointed, then we elected a few for interim committee to fill spots (which they did not agree with) when all the turmoil came to light & now two of them have left so not a full committee. Two originals had remained to “fight” the good fight to make this farm viable. They have now put in place 3 interim directors which one especially is a puppet spouting the same lies as the ones in the “top seats”. They never took responsibility for any part in the breakdown between them & our farmer. If you spoke out, didn’t agree with them, they deleted you from chats & all correspondence even though you are a co owner. This still remains this way to this day. Isn’t this what we had been standing up against over the past 3yrs? ?‍♀️
It is a tragedy what occurred at this farm as many had high hopes after our party, was a great weekend but now many have put their shares up for sale.
Such a sad state of affairs but I do hope for those that I’ve got to know in the short time that want to stay invested, for their sakes, the farm survives.
I just want others to be aware of what has occurred at Kyogle, do thorough research, get legal advice first.

Hope it works out better than the one in Kyogle where the hierarchy/bureaucrats changed the original idea that co owners bought into. They were told the hierarchy would be taking only 5% of the sale but they ended up taking 7.5% of total including working capital. Just be aware that just because they head up a reputable organisation behind the scenes, doesn’t mean they’re reputable.

It’s a working farm. The farm will sell produce and beef wholesale to businesses. Owners share in the profits. The farmer also pays rent shared among the owners. Owners get first dibs to buy at wholesale. End of the day if you see no point you can always sell your lot and get your money back.
