This afternoon, the Jeff.pro channel recognizes some of the great creators of significant programming languages in the field of computer science.

Our personal favorite from this list is Dennis Ritchie, who created the C language in the 1970’s.

It is still arguably among the most well designed and powerful programming languages today and certainly has been the most influential in history. And so we can say that the best designed computer programming language was designed in the USA because Dennis R. was an American from New York. Ken Thompson (another American) also worked on C but Dennis is usually credited as the “inventor” of C.

(By the way, you don’t have to be interested in computer science to enjoy the Jeff.pro channel. We just talk about it a lot 🤣 as one of our core themes, getting smarter about how you use your computer, in the context of taking back your digital freedom.)
