While we’re on the topic of Father’s day and military service. In the late 1800’s, my great-grandparents arrived in the U.S. as immigrants from Sweden. They first settled in Holstein, Neb., and later Huntsman, Neb. Moved around a lot. Eventually moved west to California.

Someone on our family tree, from Nebraska, went on to become a pretty good pilot. They named a Air Force base in Colorado after him. He’s two degrees off from the branch from my Grandpa’s generation, my Dad’s Dad, on Ancestry dot com. I know, we don’t like that site. But kind of interesting history 🤷‍♂️

This “mainstream” tech influencer posted on X/Twitter that he might switch back to older versions of their apps.

People really are not liking the “forced AI” integrations by Microsoft and Apple.

Linux strikes again- My son's private school mentioned that they had some computers sitting on a shelf in a closet for the year because windows was too slow and didn't load. I asked if they would mind letting me see if I could find a Linux distribution that would make them operational again. Seven once useless windows computers are now revved and ready Zorin computers. Linux rocks- find a closet computer to revive today. (Note: Linux didn't turn the i3 CPU into a speed demon but it took useless computers to useful once again.)
