Demand UofT ensures students’ rights to safety and freedom of expression!
https://linktr.ee/occupy.uoft
At the start of the school year, UofT announced new, draconian regulations on campus protesting. These regulations included, but were not limited to, bans on megaphones, posters, chalk, and projections. Essentially, every conceivable protest tactic was banned. It is obvious that this wave of restrictions comes in response to pro-Palestine activism at UofT, as the school's Zionist donors have spent months pressuring the administration to crack down on pro-Palestine organizing.
The rise of Islamophobia on campus cannot be separated from the UofT administration's months-long smear campaign, which baselessly claimed that the Peoples' Circle for Palestine was a violent and anti-semitic space.
It is also the rise of a pro-Palestine student movement that has caused UofT to call on the Toronto Police Service in an attempt to quell dissent, breaking a decades long agreement that TPS would let UofT's own campus cops police UofT property.
We must pressure UofT to uphold freedom of expression and protect the safety of its students, particularly its Muslim and Palestinian communities who are most directly impacted by the hate groups the administration has emboldened. Flood UofT's inboxes and phone lines with calls for it to stand with its students and against hate. Find the email and phone script in our LinkTree.
? Calling All UofT Students, Staff, and Faculty ?

We will gather as a UofT contingent before joining the larger rally. This is our time to stand united against oppression and show our solidarity. Bring your signs, your voices, and your passion for justice!
Yesterday: Activists blocked the entrances to Roshel Inc., a Canadian weapons manufacturer that provides light armoured vehicles to the IOF, to stop trucks from leaving Roshel’s factory.

?ACTION ALERT?
‼️ALL OUT TO SUPPORT MARILYN BELL PARK RESIDENTS‼️
WHEN: TODAY Friday July 26 starting at 8AM
WHAT: Encampment defense & support
WHERE: Marilyn Bell Park, at the south end of Jameson right on the waterfront
On Tuesday July 23, folks living at Marilyn Bell Park were served eviction notices by the City of Toronto for July 26 at 8AM.
We are mobilizing people for this Friday to defend and/or support the encampment throughout the day. Because we know the City has staged clearings from morning to night, we are asking folks to come whenever they can for as long as they can.
Everything we do will be based on consent from residents at the encampment, but we are asking people to be prepared to physically stop the City workers from getting to the camp.
We will be there to support in any and all ways that residents wish, including packing up and salvaging tents, helping residents move, providing information, etc.
It is possible that folks won't want our support, in which case we will observe and salvage tents.
MDC will have the phone on and legal observers will be present.
RISK: medium to high if residents choose to resist
From May 2nd to July 2nd, the lawn formerly known as King’s College Circle was transformed into a space of learning, community building, and resistance. The development of the Peoples’ Circle for Palestine would not have been possible without the generosity of community members who worked tirelessly in the creation of this space.
To everyone who supported the PC4P, be it through monetary donations, showing up at our protests, putting work in at camp to keep it functioning, or helping amplify our message: thank you ❤️****
Your support kept us safe and modeled what true solidarity looks like. We are endlessly appreciative of every single one of you ❤️
Our fight for divestment did not start with the PC4P, and will only continue and grow every day. We're incredibly grateful for your support along this journey.
The people, united, will never be defeated. Free Palestine ??.
