Yesterday: Activists blocked the entrances to Roshel Inc., a Canadian weapons manufacturer that provides light armoured vehicles to the IOF, to stop trucks from leaving Roshel’s factory.

‼️ALL OUT TO SUPPORT MARILYN BELL PARK RESIDENTS‼️

WHEN: TODAY Friday July 26 starting at 8AM

WHAT: Encampment defense & support

WHERE: Marilyn Bell Park, at the south end of Jameson right on the waterfront

On Tuesday July 23, folks living at Marilyn Bell Park were served eviction notices by the City of Toronto for July 26 at 8AM.

We are mobilizing people for this Friday to defend and/or support the encampment throughout the day. Because we know the City has staged clearings from morning to night, we are asking folks to come whenever they can for as long as they can.

Everything we do will be based on consent from residents at the encampment, but we are asking people to be prepared to physically stop the City workers from getting to the camp.

We will be there to support in any and all ways that residents wish, including packing up and salvaging tents, helping residents move, providing information, etc.

It is possible that folks won't want our support, in which case we will observe and salvage tents.

MDC will have the phone on and legal observers will be present.

RISK: medium to high if residents choose to resist

This is textbook Anti-Palestinian Racism.

After Zionist agitators gleefully toppled a sculpture of an olive tree with messages of a brighter future, UofT Admin proceeded to destroy the olive tree, and dispose of the remains. This reminds us of a long colonial history of the silencing and erasure of Palestine, whether it be the Zionist movement burning olive trees in Palestine, the concerted effort of the Zionist movement to silence Palestinian voices on false grounds of anti-semitism like we witnessed through the Zionist intervenors at our injunction hearing, or whether it be destroying messages of solidarity against genocide by colonial institutions like UofT.

On top of this, UofT Admin and TPS called in the Explosives Disposal Unit on what has been a peaceful protest for 63 days, propagating and embodying extremely harmful and frankly ridiculous stereotypes.

UofT is not neutral, despite their claims. Shame on UofT.
