Robert Rundo was released after a judge’s ruling on Wednesday. Federal prosecutors described him as an ‘extreme flight risk’ if let out of custody.

Robert Rundo has been rearrested and is back in federal custody as of Thursday.

According to documents obtained by Antifa Watch, Federal authorities have successfully stayed the order of Rundo's release. This therefore means that the charges are still, at this point, not pending, but that the 9th Circuit has stated the appeal of the Judge's dismissal is substantial enough to warrant keeping Mr. Rundo in custody until they have decided on that appeal. The 9th Circuit did grant the government's motion to stay the release after Mr. Rundo had been released.

The federal government’s strategy here seems to involve transferring the case to another court until they achieve their desired outcome. It is pertinent to remember that the only reason Mr. Rundo was arrested again in 2023 was because the government “overturned the dismissal” of the initial charges.

Such actions as these underscore clear governmental overreach and serve as another instance of tyranny within our occupied government. ??

James was a valued member of our community, up for anything with a ready smile and quick wit. He will be sorely missed by his friends and compatriots.

If we think of how long 2.5 years is, the UK were in the midst of Covid lockdown 2.5 years ago, the summer of BLM was another year before that! We can only hope the time passes as quickly for James before he can rejoin his friends and family.
