So, the home I'd like to tell you about is my brother's home. It's not too far from where we live (🟰close by), probably a twenty-minute drive, so we can get there in no time at all (🟰very quickly), really. We go over there every now and again (🟰occasionally), probably once every two months (🟰rarely). We have this tradition of holding a family dinner (🟰organizing a family gathering), and we like to throw the party (🟰host the event) in a different person's house each time.
The building they live in is an enclosed complex (🟰gated residence ،مجتمع مسکونی محصور). It's quite upmarket, (🟰posh, and expensive), actually. I mean, it's this gorgeous three-story (🟰multi-level) red brick building, and they had the roof done (🟰renovated) recently, actually, so it's in tip-top condition, (🟰excellent condition).
When it comes to my brother's family, they are homebodies (🟰stay-at-home people), really. They spend a lot of time at home looking after the house (🟰maintaining the home), so it's always shipshape (🟰very clean, tidy), spic and span (🟰very clean, tidy), looks great (appears well-maintained). It feels warm and welcoming (🟰inviting atmosphere) whenever we go there, but at the same time unpretentious (🟰modest and simple), and I like the fact that it's quite down to earth (🟰simple and practical).
I always think about the dining room (🟰eating area) when we go there because that's where we have the dinner (🟰share meals). They have the fireplace (🟰hearth، شومینه) with a lovely real log fire (🟰wood-burning fire), makes you feel all cozy and snug (🟰comfortable and warm). It kind of takes me back to (🟰reminds me of) my childhood, thinking about my grandma's home that had a fire as well.
When it comes to my feeling about the place (🟰opinion), it's, I guess, positive (🟰favorable), right? I mean, I'm always thinking about the dinners we have there (🟰family meals). My brother and his wife are chefs by profession (🟰professional cooks), so they don't mess about (🟰waste time). They take it seriously (🟰are dedicated) in the kitchen. They make amazing food (🟰delicious meals), and I always feel content and warm (🟰happy and comfortable) when I go there. It's just a great place to reconnect with the family (🟰strengthen family bonds) and have a great time (🟰enjoy ourselves).
