“ Between Adhan Al-Fajr and Iqamah, there is a great Sunnah from the Sunnah of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

He said, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in the hadith narrated by our mother Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her and her father, Raka'at Al-Fajr is better than Dunya and what is in it. ”

Riyad as-Salihin 1102

May Allah ease the burden you carry that no one knows about.

(ʿUbayd Allah b. al-Ḥasan) said:

“I would rather be a (simple) follower in al-ḥaq (ie: the truth) rather than a leader in al-bāṭil (ie: falsehood).”

لأن أكون ذنبا فِي الحق أحب إلي من أَن أكون رأسا فِي الباطل.

Don't care what they say.

They call you متشدد (severe) because of your Ibadah and following of the Sunnah and enjoining good and forbidding evil;

who cares what they say.

Like Shaykh Sulayman Al-Alwan فك الله اسره said about those who call you متشدد :

"Do you worship the people, or do you worship Allah?"

هل تعبد الناس أو تعبد الله ؟

A row of heavy blocks are stacked on top of each other. The biggest block at the bottom that holds up all the other blocks is about Tawhîd. The block on top of it is prayer, then fasting, then righteousness to parents, on top of that is good character and at the top is da'wah. The father points to the largest block at the bottom and asks his son, "What if we remove it?" To which his son replies: "Oh my father, everything would collapse." "Good," says the father.!!

سمعت خاطرة جميلة لشيخ من الشيوخ، يقول:
يسألونني: "كيف نعرف إن كان الله يحبنا أم لا؟" فأقول لهم: "انظروا إلى ما تشغلون به أوقاتكم."
فحينما يحبك الله، لا يترك وقتك يمر هباءً أو يضيع في غير عبادته.

فحاسبوا أنفسكم بأنفسكم.

Exemption of tyrants from false interpretations

Shaykh ʿAli Al-Khudair was asked : Some people say that the actions of tawāgheet constitute Kufr, but I do not Takfir them [arguing that they do not possess religious knowledge, or on the pretext that Allāh will not question him about them]. 
Is this saying a form of ʾlrjāʾ ? 

سئل الشيخ علي الخضير : بعض الأشخاص يقول أن أفعال الطواغيت كفر ، وأنا لا أكفرهم [ بحجة أنه لا يمتلك علم شرعي ، أو بحجة أن الله لن يسأله عنهم ] هل هذا القول من الإرجاء؟ قال الشيخ : نعم من الإرجاء

As-Shaykh replied : 
Yes, it is [a form of] ʾlrjāʾ.

Respected sisters, if you think that a long beard, an immaculately ironed thobe or qamīs, thought provoking facebook posts, eye catching tweets or eloquent youtube videos are enough for you to decide you want to marry a brother, then all I can say is you'll certainly without doubt be in for a shock.

It is very easy to portray knowledge of the din (perhaps even falsely where someone appears knowledgable but in reality is ignorant), however it is very hard to hide bad character, and this is why good character is of utmost importance and usually tells you more about a person than what many other things can.

References enable you to find out about not only the dīn, but the character of an individual, and this is what will ensure you are treated with honour and respect and aren't taken for a ride.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ‎ﷺ said:

، أَكمَلُ المُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحَاسِنُهُم أَخْلَاقًا ، المُوَطَّؤُونَ أَكْنَافًا" " . الَّذِينَ يَأْلَفُونَ وَيُؤْلَفُونَ ، وَلَا خَيْرَ فِي مَن لَا يَأْلَفُ وَلَا يُؤْلَفُ

"The most perfect of the believers in īmān is the one who is best in manners and humble, who gets along with others and others get along with them, and there is no good in the one who does not get along with others and they do not get along with him."
