Ubisoft has been keeping relatively quiet about its various blockchain initiatives after debuting its controversial 'Quartz' NFT platform in 2022, but the French publisher isn't tapping out just yet. The company, which previously claimed that players simply didn't understand its NFT machinations, partnered with Immutable in November last year to create a new title on the blockchain.

? US Courts to Decide If NFTs Are Securities as DraftKings Case Goes to Trial
A U.S. District Court judge in Massachusetts has denied DraftKings' motion to dismiss a class action lawsuit alleging its NFTs are unregistered securities, potentially setting the stage for a landmark trial that could reshape the NFT landscape. The case, Dufoe v. DraftKings Inc., which was filed in March 2023, claims that DraftKings' sports-themed NFTs on the Polygon blockchain meet the criteria of the Howey test, potentially classifying them as securities. Now, a new court filing indicates that the case is moving forward under Judge Denise Jefferson Casper.

Wu-Tang Clan's Secret 'Shaolin' Album Will Be Sold via $1 NFTs on BaseIn a curveball move, Pleasr, a crypto collective or DAO that collects objects of cultural relevance, announced on Thursday that it will soon begin selling encrypted, on-chain copies of “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin,” the one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan record that Pleasr acquired in 2021 for $4 million. The encrypted album will be made available today via a dedicated website for $1, according to a press release shared with Decrypt.
