Extinction Rebellion groeit! Hierdoor zijn er ook meer mensen en groepen die acties organiseren. Dat is natuurlijk heel belangrijk in onze strijd voor een andere wereld 🌍.

Maar… Misschien voel je je wel overweldigd of zelfs overvraagd door alle acties die worden aangekondigd. Want het is echt heel veel.

Met dit bericht willen we iedereen er aan herinneren dat zelfzorg voorop staat 💚 . Neem de tijd die jij nodig hebt om je batterij weer op te laden. Ga bijvoorbeeld lekker naar buiten en geniet van de ontluikende natuur 🌱 . Ook kan het helpen om kanalen (tijdelijk) te muten. Zo kun je zelf bepalen wanneer je ruimte hebt om de berichten te lezen.

En bedenk je, XR groeit! Er zijn dus ook meer mensen die naar acties gaan. Dat betekent dat je niet overal bij hoeft te zijn. We verdelen de lasten. Kies voor de acties waar jij vuur voor voelt. Als beweging maken we iedere actie tot een succes! ❤️‍🔥

With this message we want to remind everyone that self care comes first 💚 . Take your time to recharge your battery. For example by going outside and enjoying the start of the spring 🌱 . It can also help to mute channels (temporarily). That way you can decide for yourself when you have enough headspace to read messages.

And now that XR is growing, more people are taking part in actions. So you don't have to show up every time. We divide the workload. Choose to go to the actions that you feel strongly about. As a movement we make every action a success! ❤️‍🔥

👣 En net als bij de vorige blokkade lopen we dan weer in disruptieve marsen vanuit verschillende plekken in Den Haag over de openbare weg naar de A12.

✊ De marsen duren allen een uur en komen tegelijkertijd samen bij de A12. Daar blokkeren we met z’n allen de A12 om een eind aan de fossiele subsidies te eisen.

📣 Voor wie niet mee wil lopen, is er een vinger die aan de rand van het Malieveld verzamelt en zich bij de marsen voegt als die daar aankomen.

Lieve rebellen,

We organiseren op 24 maart een rebellenberaad waarop we met elkaar in gesprek gaan over de verschillende spanningen binnen XR. Dit zal een dag zijn waarop we met elkaar ontdekken wat eenieder nodig heeft om vol enthousiasme deel van onze beweging te zijn. We bieden ruimte om te bepalen wat voor XR belangrijke onderwerpen zijn om verder op te pakken. Samen agenderen we dan volgende stappen om verder te bouwen aan een vitale, veerkrachtige beweging.

Het vindt plaats met ongeveer 250 personen, tussen 10:30-17:00u, centraal in Nederland, goed bereikbaar met het OV en rolstoeltoegankelijk. De plenaire gedeelten zijn in het Nederlands en we zorgen voor vertaling in het Engels. In de komende weken ontvang je meer informatie over wat te verwachten, hoe je je kunt aanmelden en hoe het gaat als er meer aanmeldingen zijn dan dat er ruimte is.

Dear rebels,

We are organizing a rebel meeting on March 24 at which we will talk about the various tensions within XR. This will be a day on which we discover together what everyone needs to be an enthusiastic part of our movement. We offer space to determine which topics are important for XR to tackle further. Together we will then put next steps on the agenda to continue building a vital, resilient movement.

It takes place with approximately 250 people, between 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM, centrally in the Netherlands, easily accessible by public transport and wheelchair accessible. The plenary parts are in Dutch and we provide translation into English. In the coming weeks you will receive more information about what to expect, how to register and what happens if there are more registrations than there is space.

As part of our campaign against new fossil infrastructure we will take action against OneDyas, the company that has received a permit to drill for new gas in the North Sea, sector N05-A, 20 km north of Schiermonnikoog. The permit is on hold pending a court case regarding nitrogen emissions. The next court session will be Thursday 25 January at 13:00 at the court in The Hague.

REBELLENBERAAD UITGESTELD

Beste rebellen!

We hebben geen geschikte locatie kunnen vinden voor de Rebellenberaad (RB) op 20 januari en zijn daardoor tegen een aantal logistieke problemen aangelopen. Waarschijnlijk zijn jullie net als wij behoorlijk teleurgesteld hierdoor. Er zijn veel reacties gekomen op de enquête en er is veel interesse in een Rebellenberaad waar we gezamenlijk kunnen reflecteren over de afgelopen periode en hoe we verdergaan met XRNL.

Het spijt ons voor het ongemak dat dit voor sommigen can jullie kan veroorzaken.
Weet dat we er alles aan doen om snel een RB te organiseren dat ons allemaal samenbrengt en de missie van XRNL verder brengt.

Dus wanneer gaat het RA plaatsvinden? Heel binnenkort! We zijn momenteel druk bezig met het vinden van een geschikte (centrale) locatie en datum. Zodra we deze hebben, laten we dat hier weten.

Dear rebels!

We have not been able to find a fitting location for the Rebels Assembly (RA) on January 20th and consequently run into several logistical issues. Probably just like you, we are quite disappointed by this. There have been many responses to the survey and there is significant interest in the RA, highlighting the importance of reflecting together on XRNL progress and direction.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause any of you.
We remain fully committed to delivering a Rebels Assembly that will bring us all together and further XRNL mission.

So when will the RA take place? Very soon! We are now in the process of selecting a fitting location and date. As soon as we have it, expect an announcement right here.

📣 Het is weer zover! Aanstaande maandag 8 januari om 12:00, kondigen we boven de tunnelbak van de A12 in Den Haag (hoek Theresiastraat en Prins Clauslaan) vervolgacties aan om samen een einde te maken aan de fossiele subsidies.

⌛️ We hebben geduldig gewacht op handelen vanuit de politiek, maar het beloofde afbouwplan dat voor januari gepresenteerd zou worden, laat op zich wachten. Bovendien stemde de Eerste Kamer onlangs tegen het afschaffen van 2 fossiele subsidies.

🛢 Dit gaat totaal in tegen wat nodig is in de strijd voor klimaatrechtvaardigheid. We kennen allemaal de cijfers en feiten over klimaatverandering en de daarbij behorende risico’s. Maar helaas blijft de politiek kiezen voor het aanjagen van de klimaatcrisis in plaats van het verantwoordelijk stellen van de vervuilers.

⛔️ Inmiddels wil 72% van Nederland van de fossiele subsidies af. Het is dus tijd om de druk op te voeren en te zorgen dat we niet nog jarenlang tientallen miljarden euro’s aan kortingen aan de fossiele industrie blijven bekostigen.

✊ Daarom zal het deze keer niet bij een blokkade van de A12 blijven. De eerste stap daarin zetten we direct na de aankondiging.

⌛️ We have been patiently waiting for political action, but the promised plan that would be presented before January is taking a long time. Moreover, the Senate recently voted against the abolition of 2 fossil subsidies.

🛢 This goes completely against what is needed in the fight for climate justice. We all know the figures and facts about climate change and the associated risks. But unfortunately, politicians continue to choose to fuel the climate crisis instead of holding the polluters accountable.

⛔️ 72% of the Netherlands now wants to get rid of fossil subsidies. So it is time to increase the pressure and ensure that we do not continue to pay tens of billions of euros in discounts to the fossil industry for years to come.

✊ That's why this time it won't just be a blockade of the A12. We will take the first step immediately after the announcement.

On Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 12:00, we will block the A10 near the former ING headquarters "De Schoen" in Amsterdam. Our demand: ING, immediately stop all financing of, and services to, the fossil industry. Stop fossil financing!

Since 2021 we have been peacefully campaigning against ING's fossil financing policy, as yet to no effect. Climate disasters follow each other in rapid succession, every day 20,000 children have to flee extreme weather. Yet ING pursues only one thing: profits for shareholders at the expense of innocent people. On Saturday, December 30, starting at 12:00, we will block the A10 in Amsterdam. We will make sure that all of the Netherlands finds out what ING is doing.
