Dear community, we have decided to discontinue support of the TonSwap DEX

What happened?
Nothing happened. Which is a big problem for a token exchange. We were planning on much larger volumes of trade and liquidity. Unfortunately the economic activity on TonSwap does not justify its continued existence, so it's time to move on.

What does this mean?
If you are a trader, degen, or just curious about TON, there are several other DEXs available in the TON ecosystem - you can trade and swap on those exchanges. If you want to provide liquidity, those DEXs are an option as well. Or you can HODL. In any case, do your own research.

I'm a TonSwap liquidity provider, what should I do?
If you are an LP, please remove liquidity from any pool in which you are participating ASAP. Any revenue made on trades will automatically be added to your deposits. Keep in mind that due to token price changes you may see different amounts than you expect (see https://t.me/Mint_xyz_chat/389 for more info)

New TonSwap Feature – Search for Jetton

There’s a growing list of jettons listed on @TonSwapOfficialBot. As more projects emerge on the blockchain, we expect this list to grow further.

This makes Jetton discovery a bit more tedious. Who wants to scroll endlessly to find their favorite?

That’s why we added a cool feature – search for Jetton.

You can search by Jetton symbol – for example FNZ, AMBR.

You can also search by Jetton address, for example, FNZ’s address is EQDCJL0iQHofcBBvFBHdVG233Ri2V4kCNFgfRT-gqAd3Oc86.

We strive to make the TonSwap protocol (@tonswapofficialbot or tonswap.org) easy to use and bug free. Tens of thousands of people have interacted with TonSwap successfully so far.

If you are experiencing issues with TonSwap, here are some tips that have helped people in the past:

• Before trading - always make sure you are connected with the right wallet. Make sure you are running the latest version of the wallet available on the app store.

• Always make sure you have a small amount of TON in your wallet to pay gas fees. A trade will fail if you don't have a minimum of 0.14 TON.

• If you are unsuccessful trading using your mobile device, try to do the transaction on a computer by going to tonswap.org. Of course make sure you have a stable internet connection.

• Sometimes disconnecting your wallet and reconnecting can help.

• If a transaction fails on a MAX amount of a token, try a slightly smaller amount.

TonSwap update: See Liquidity Info
We’re pleased to share a recent update to the TonSwap DEX (@TonSwapOfficialBot). Users can now see how much liquidity is in each Jetton Pool.

To do this, tap on the Menu button and then on MANAGE LIQUIDITY. At the bottom of the screen you’ll see an option to tap on POOL INFO.

Tapping POOL INFO will show you the following :

• Liquidity, also called TVL (Total Value Locked), in USD
• Amount of LP Tokens – when a user adds liquidity to a pool, they get a “receipt” which can be used at any time in the future to remove liquidity. This is the LP Token, and the value shown here is the sum of all the LP tokens given to liquidity providers for this pool
• Amount of TON in the pool
  *Amount of Token in the pool.

If you have provided liquidity to the pool, you’ll see additional information reflecting your current LP position:

• Your amount of LP Tokens
• Your share of the liquidity pool in percent
• Your amount of TON in the pool
• Your amount of Token in the pool
• The USD value of your position in the pool.

It’s easy to become a liquidity provider on TonSwap, and there is no minimum. If you haven’t tried out this feature, give it a go.

Does the world really need another blockchain?
We sometimes hear crypto investors, analysts, and degens shitpost downplay the TON blockchain because

"Bitcoin and Ethereum are enough."

A common perception is that Bitcoin is gold 2.0, a global decentralized store of value, while Ethereum is a decentralized financial system.

This leads to a conclusion that there’s no room for newer blockchains to become significant, and at most, TON will be a niche play.

We wholeheartedly disagree.

Bitcoin, like gold, is especially good at one thing – storing value. But who uses gold to buy groceries? Bitcoin wasn’t designed for frequent, small ticket purchases. It wasn’t designed for much beyond sending and receiving payments.

What about Ethereum and its smart contracts architecture?

Ethereum is great for people who are both financially and technically savvy.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t address the needs of the majority of the world’s population. Ethereum is challenging to onboard. It’s difficult to comprehend, hard to use, and expensive to transact on.

Ethereum is simply too much of a hassle for the average Joe or Jane to deal with.

Why will TON succeed?
TON has a very significant asset, no other blockchain even comes close – the link to Telegram and its 700 million monthly users. This is doubly advantageous:

1. Telegram allows for a relatively simple onboarding to crypto: anyone can transfer Toncoin to anyone using Telegram’s @wallet bot.

2. Telegram has a number of users (700m) that dwarfs the amount of Metamask accounts (30m).

Bottom line: TON will not be a niche blockchain.

Yesterday, the Mint team received a claim from one of the TonSwap protocol users, that their funds were (maliciously) lost due to use of the protocol. It was further claimed that numerous other users have lost their tokens in similar manner.

Bottom line: We have reviewed in-depth, the activity to and from the wallet of the user, and found that absolutely no funds have been lost or stolen. The protocol has behaved as expected.

By design, TonSwap is fully open-source, running on an open blockchain where all transactions and fund movements can be tracked and proven unequivocally.
