این اثر که کوتاه‌ترین داستان کوتاه چخوفه، به گفته‌ی خودش، داستانیه که از باقی کارهاش بیشتر دوست داره.

داستان تم طبیعت، فلسفه، و تاریخ داره. می‌شه بارها خوند و بهش فکر کرد و ازش لذت برد.
