ALLĀH'S INSTRUCTION TO PARENTS

ALLĀH says,

يُوصِيكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِىٓ اولادكم
ALLĀH instructs you concerning your children...

That is, your children - O parents - are entrusted to you and ALLĀH has instructed you to look after them, take care of their affairs both spiritual and worldly, teach them, discipline them, restrain them from committing evil, and enjoin them to obey ALLĀH and to fear HIM at all times, as HE says elsewhere:

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ قُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَأَهۡلِیكُمۡ نَارࣰا وَقُودُهَا ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلۡحِجَارَةُ
0 you who believe, guard yourselves and your families against a fire whose fuel is men and stones... {At-Taḥrīm : 6}

So children are entrusted to the care of their parents, who either fulfil the obligations of this trust, in which case they will have a great reward, or they neglect it, in which case they deserve warning and punishment. This indicates that ALLĀH is more merciful to HIS slaves than parents, as HE instructed parents - even though they are compassionate towards their children - to take care of them.

‎For Those Who Listen To Music ?

‎Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

‎“No one regularly sings or listens to song except that his heart falls into nifâq (hypocrisy) without him realizing. If such a person understood the reality of nifâq and its end he would see it in his own heart.

‎Never do the love of song and the love of Qur’ân come together in a person’s heart except that one expels the other.

‎I and others have witnessed how heavy the Qur’ân feels to singers and song-listeners; how they coil when it is recited and how they get angry with a reciter when he recites too long for them (in prayer etc); and how their hearts do not benefit from what he recites: they are not moved to do anything by it.

‎But when the Qur’ân of Shaytân comes, lâ ilâha illallâh! How they lower their voices and settle down! How their hearts feel at peace and how the crying and emotions start, how moved they are inwardly and outwardly and spend on clothing and perfume and staying up hoping for a long night ahead. If this is not nifâq then it is certainly the way to it and its foundation.”

Forgotten Sunnah: Wake up at Night, Recite this Dhikr and seek Forgiveness:

Narrated ‘Ubada bin As-Samit: The Prophet  -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-said:

“Whoever gets up at night and says:

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَه،ُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْد،ُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ  ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ،وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

‘There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah Alone, He has no partners, He has the Dominion and for Him is all praise, and He is capable of all things, praise is for Him, and Far is Allaah from imperfection, and There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah, and Allaah is the Greatest, there is no capability nor is there any power except with Allaah.

La ilaha ‘illa Allaahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ala kulli shayin qadeer Subhana allaahi, wal hamdu lillaahi, wa la illaah ila Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, La hawla wa la quwwata illa billaa

Then he says :

اللهمَ اغْفِرْلي
O Allaah forgive me (Allaahumma aghfirlee), or he supplicates and his supplication is answered, and if he makes Wudu and prays then his prayer is accepted.

[Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 21, Number 253 : Prayer at Night (Tahajjud)]

Do not weaken in supplication, for the weakest person is the one who is unable to do it. How many supplications has relieved worries, lifted sorrows, removed sadness, guided a person, protected something, and brought back what was lost - as a favor from Allāh ﷻ and a blessing.

Punishments Of A Sinner

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: The punishments of a sinner are as follows;
• Being deprived of Islamic knowledge (‘Ilm)
• Feeling of alienation in the heart
• Physical weakness
• Being unable to do acts of worship
• Being deprived of blessings
• Turning away from Allāh
• Anxiety
• Getting comfortable with sins
• The sinner becomes insignificant in the sight of Allāh
• The sinner becomes insignificant in the sight of people
• The curse of the animals will be upon him
• The sinner will bear marks of humiliation
• His heart will be sealed and he will come under the curse (of Allāh)
• The sinner’s Du’ā is not answered
• Loss of Gheerah (protective jealousy)
• Loss of modesty (Ḥayā)
• The blessings of Allāh disappear
• Punishment will befall him
• Fear in the heart of the sinner
• Falling into the traps of Shayṭān
• A bad end in worldly life (Dunyā)
• Torment in grave
• Punishment in the Hereafter
