The Saudis have long been known for their laconic and private nature. When they do make public statements, it is measured and brief.
They have also been the lifeline for Israel over the past 15 months, organizing land convoys to transport goods from the UAE across the Arabian desert, when Israel ships couldn’t traverse the Red Sea to dock at Haifa, due to threats from the Houthis.
They have done all of this while being mocked by many across the Muslim world, who have slandered them as cowards and traitors, for choosing peace over war with Israel.
That’s what makes this media blitz against Netanyahu so shocking for many. The Saudis are not known for airing out their grievances in public, and they have remained loyal to the mission to establish peace in the Middle East. But everybody has their limits, and Netanyahu has demonstrated a hubris that, for many, is beyond insufferable.
I have no doubt that the Saudis are still in Trump’s corner, and even read in on whatever plan the President has hatched, but this one line from the article is a little alarming:
Saudi Arabian foreign minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan last week postponed a scheduled trip to Washington after the US president announced his plan, a person familiar with the matter said.
We have covered Faisal many times in this Brief. He has proven himself a capable and congenial diplomat, who has earned friends for Saudi Arabia around the world. Canceling this meeting with President Trump is a signal to everyone that the Saudis have lost their patience with Tel Aviv.
And they are about to host President Trump and President Putin in a highly anticipated peace summit…
Lol Trump said during the Q&A today that this meeting would be “way off” in the future.
To blindly trust any secular authority—especially governments— is one of the most foolish and ignorant things a person can do.
How can Americans levy legitimate criticisms at their own government, but refuse to apply the same logic to a foreign government? Do they view these leaders as divine beings? Gods walking among men? Zionism seems like a cult. A religion unto itself.
The CIA has invested significant resources in cultivating this indoctrination, through organizations such as the Western Goals Foundation.
They are firing up the “Iran has nukes” narrative again…
Iran is holding an election on June 28. Analysts are saying that there is no outright favorite, as none of the candidates possess the charisma or influence to unify the country or galvanize popular support.
Are we really suppose to believe that the incoming president’s first act in office will be to nuke Israel? A country that is “on the ropes,” geopolitically, as it has become a pariah state?
If Iran’s regime desires to see Israel destroyed, why would now be the best moment to nuke them? Wouldn’t that just turn the entire world against Iran?
Iran has gone from being a pariah state to becoming a major player in the emerging multipolar world order, establishing an alliance with China and Russia. Nuking Israel would undo all of that diplomatic progress, and create worldwide sympathy for Israel. So why would they do it? Is anybody offering any logical reasoning? Or just emotional diatribes lacking in grounded arguments?
