We can divide all the questions you can be asked in speaking part 2 into three main categories:
A THING (e.g. an expensive gift you received, a book you read recently, your first phone)
A PERSON (e.g. an interesting neighbor, a favorite athlete, a person you want to work with)
A SITUATION (e.g. a time you went to a crowded place, a time you helped a child, your first day at school)
Today I heard someone saying ”If my memory is good” ❌
I understand what you mean by this, but the phrase is not really natural.
When you think you remember something correctly but not 100% sure, you can use the following phrases:
If my memory doesn't fail me ✅ If my memory serves me well ✅
Listen to the conversation and answer the questions below 👇
I remember I got 8.0 for speaking back in 2021 and in part 2 the question was about a movie.
I don’t think my answer was super interesting or well-organized, but I used a lot of topic based vocabulary like director, plot, cast and etc. Since then I am convinced that topic-based vocabulary really helps to get a higher score.
