How is it humanly possible to forgive great wrongs? It isn’t! So our Lord did the most humanly impossible thing: He pleaded the cause of His killers by going on the cross.

Because of Jesus, our very nature has been changed—we are no longer governed by sin. This transformation is what enables us to forgive.

We may never get a longed-for apology or closure, but we depend on the Spirit to keep on relating to and serving others. Christ in us is the reason we can“bear with each other and forgive...as the Lord forgave you” (Colossians 3:10, 13). ?

Not all of us are trying to reach the top, but we may subconsciously think that some occupations don’t seem as “respectable”. This mindset can come across in the way we relate to people in those roles or how we view and talk about our jobs. ?

But seeing how our Lord Jesus touched the unclean and washed his disciples’ feet should humble us to see that no good work is too lowly for us to do.

Lord, when being “last” means getting our hands dirty, free us from pride and give us compassion, so we can gladly do the good work You've placed before us.

It’s hard to imagine carrying each other’s burdens when we’re so weighed down by our own. But sharing our burdens with each other is actually what helps lighten it.

To carry another’s burden doesn’t mean we have to have the answers. We just need to know that we’re not alone in our struggle; that there are people who are praying with us, especially when we struggle to pray for ourselves.

We may worry that we’re not gifted enough to talk about Jesus at work. We’re too shy. Too socially awkward. Too far down the hierarchy. But that’s exactly why God will use us.

Scripture says God brings His gospel to the world inside ordinary “jars of clay”—us! (2 Corinthains 4:7).

God can use our shyness if it makes us less likely to offend. God can use awkwardness if it makes us less likely to be abrasive and self-righteous.

Sharing Jesus can begin as simply as: “Hey, tell me more about your faith…” and giving them a safe space to talk.

? When we face a recurring struggle in our lives and we wonder why, it may be because every time it surfaces, we choose to run or hide instead of facing it head on. So it keeps coming back to haunt us.

Every trial we encounter, we have a choice to either persevere by trusting Jesus and seeking His patience to overcome, or give in to grumbling, anger, and distrust. If we always choose the latter, we will have endured the trials for nothing. So let's choose patience and trust, so that God's work of maturing us will be completed. ??
