?Norse Labs SDK Out for iOS
Norse Labs (formerly SOLAR Labs) has released the iOS version of their dVPN development kit (SDK). It has been published to GitHub.
https://github.com/norselabs/dvpn-sdk-ios
Norse Labs has published an article about the SDK on their new knowledge base, which includes further details. The company claims that versions for non-Apple platforms will be released this week. [1]
While currently free, the SDK requires credentials from Norse Labs to use. The company plans to restrict access to paying users later this summer, though a free tier will remain available. [2] Credentials can be requested at the link below:

The CEO also previewed a Telegram bot with built-in dVPN functionality which is currently in development.
*? New Details on Health Check Update*
Sentinel team member ProjectAutonomy shared new details today on the upcoming revamp of the automatic health check system for Sentinel Nodes. Node operators have been experiencing difficulties with the feature since it was implemented late last year.
“The new health check system is very sophisticated. Not only can it be distributed, but there is a queue based system... Node hosts can resubmit their node into the queue before the next scheduled health check period. Whenever there is a blockchain event for the node status update, the address will be added to the queue automatically (if it's not in the queue). Alternatively, anyone can request the API to perform the health check for a node using a webpage, so the address will be pushed to the queue.” [1]
The planned changes to the health check system are already complete, and are awaiting implementation. [2] This will take place with the hub upgrade scheduled for the end of the month.
ProjectAutonomy posted the details in response to a statement from Yovan of Busurnode, a validator and operator of the sentnodes.com database.

Want to browse the web safely or even use torrents on your Android TV? Follow those steps...
1. Get Independent dVPN.
On your phone, go to https://independentdvpn.com/ and click on Download an APK.
You can also use this link, if you prefer: https://files.independentdvpn.com/28.apk
2. Prepare to send files to your Android TV.
Install this app on both the TV and the phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yablio.sendfilestotv&hl=en
3. Send the goodies.
On the TV, open the Send Files to TV app and click Receive.
On the phone, open the Send Files to TV app and click Send. Then select the previously downloaded Independent dVPN APK.
If everything goes well, the file is transferred to the TV.
4. Install on the Android TV.
On the TV, install the File Manager app and find the APK it just received. Select it and open it.
At this point, the Android package manager should be opened. Click “Install” at the bottom the screen.
If an error appears that it cannot be installed because you have to allow install from untrusted sources, just follow the instruction on the screen and proceed one more time to install the APK.
If everything goes well, Independent dVPN should open. Choose from countries and get connected to a server.
If an error occurs saying the app wants to create another network interface, click Allow and you are done.
Notes
Note 1: The dVPN app does not survive a standby and will be closed.
Note 2: The app will not appear in the list of standard installed apps, and you have to go to system apps to find it. The name is different as well.
Enjoy Freedom!

? Report: dVPN Working on Android TV
YYamada (@yyamada88), operator of dvMiku Validator, informed the community yesterday that he has successfully tested Independent dVPN on an Android TV device:
"...It works like a charm. It is not available in Google Play, but you can download the APK, send it to your TV, and install it. All done, enjoy freedom." [1]
This method is not officially supported by Independent dVPN yet, so success in replicating it cannot be guaranteed.
Sentinel team members responded positively and indicated that they may move forward with making Sentinel-powered dVPN clients available on the Android TV version of the Google Play store. [2]

? Meile 2.0 for Arch Linux Confirmed
Follow-up to our original Meile 2.0 Linux launch story: MathNodes contributor Alessandro Maggio (a.k.a. Tkd-Alex) has confirmed that an Arch Linux version of Meile 2.0 is now in active development.
?SOLAR Rebrand Underway, New App Announced
Norse Labs CEO Alexandr Litreev finalised his company's rebrand/merger effort today with a press release announcing DVPN by Norse, a dVPN client targeted for release on Windows, Android, and iOS. No release date has been announced, but the promotional image accompanying Litreev's post appears to indicate that they intend to launch it by end of the summer.
Two days ago, the Estonia-based developer revealed that SOLAR Labs (founded 2022) would be assuming the branding of Norse Labs, an inactive fellow network whitelabel that was acquired by Litreev at some point last year, after the community noted links between the GitHubs and validators of the two companies. For more background on that, see our special report on the topic from yesterday.
Information on the various features promised for the application by Norse Labs can be found at the link below.

Other Notes
SOLAR dVPN, the Sentinel Network's oldest extant third-party application, can be reasonably assumed to be entering a sunsetting period. We do not yet have any information on the ramifications this will have for current subscribers.
We also do not yet know what will become of the SOLAR Labs and Norse Labs validators, which are both controlled by Litreev. They are ranked sixth and twenty-eighth in voting power, respectively; and have a combined total of almost 600 Million $DVPN worth of Sentinel Foundation delegations. We will alert stakers if there are any status updates on either.
Litreev has said that Norse Endpoint Security, a dVPN-enabled antivirus program which was promoted as near-complete in February 2023, is still in development.
The Norse Labs website (https://norselabs.io) is also now finally online after over a year (though it appears to still be in a rudimentary state).
? MEILE 2.0 BETA HITS LINUX
Meile dVPN version 2.0 has officially entered its open beta period, following today's release of packages for Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora.
This highly-anticipated overhaul of the whitelabel desktop dVPN client has been in the works for over a year, with development having begun with v1.6.0's release in April of 2023.
CEO freQnik told his community today that he hopes the porting process for both Windows and Mac OS will be complete before the end of the month. [1] We reached out to MathNodes about the status of an Arch Linux version, and were informed that this is contingent on the availability of a specialist contributor. [2]
MathNodes has overcome circumstances ranging from personnel limitations to cyberattacks to natural disasters while building the overhaul; all while continually providing earlier versions of Meile with updates and support in the interim.
Also of note is the introduction of Monero ($XMR) payments for subscriptions. This has made Meile dVPN the first blockchain software in the entire Cosmos Ecosystem to accept payments with the world's most popular privacy coin.

Telegram users are encouraged to report bugs and provide feedback in either the MathNodes group, or in the "Meile dVPN" topic within the Sentinel Application Testing Forum.

? App Store Update
The Sentinel team is hoping both Sentinel Shield dVPN and Dogwifhat dVPN will be approved by Google and Apple for their respective app stores "within the week."
Apple's approval will mark the launch of both on iOS. Direct APK installation is already available for both applications on Android.

EDIT: The Sentinel Growth DAO has informed us that they provided funding for the app store submissions. The process which they funded—in essence, the creation of corporate entities under which the apps could be released—explains the delay of the approval process.
