Ibn al-Qayyim said, "The morning and evening adhkar play the role of a shield; the thicker it is the more its owner will not be affected. Rather, its strength can reach to such an extent that the arrow shot at it will bounce back to affect the one who shot it."

Shaykh Uthaymeen said, "The morning and evening adhkar are a stronger fortress than the wall of Ya'jooj and Ma'jooj, for the one who says it while his heart is present.

And Ibn Salah said, "Whoever maintains the morning and evening adhkar, the adhkar after the prayers, and the adhkar before sleeping will be written among those "who remember Allah much.""

Ibn Katheer said, "Wear the 'coat' of adhkar so it can protect you from the evils of humans and jinn. And cover your souls with istighfar so it can erase the sins of the night and day.

Seeking Forgiveness For The Believers

From Ubadah Bin As-Samitt [رضي الله عنه] who said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] saying:

«من استغفر للمؤمنين و للمؤمنات كتب الله له بكل مؤمن و مؤمنة حسنة.»

❝Whoever sought forgiveness for believing men and believing women, Allaah writes a good deed for him for every believing man and woman.❞

Tahajjud

The Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم said:

“When a man from my ummah gets up to pray at night, striving against his own self to get up and purify himself, there are knots on him. When he washes his hands in wudoo’, one knot is undone. When he washes his face, another knot is undone. When he wipes his head another knot is undone. When he washes his feet, another knot is undone. Then Allaah says to those who are veiled (in the Unseen): ‘Look at this slave of Mine, he is striving against his own self and asking of Me. Whatever My slave asks of Me shall be his.”

(Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Hibaan. Saheeh al-Targheeb, 627).

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud رضي الله عنه said:

❝Whoever reads Tabarak alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk [i.e., Surat al-Mulk ] every night, Allah will protect him from the torment of the grave .

At the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ we used to call it al-mani’ah (that which protects). In the Book of Allah it is a surah which, whoever recites it every night has done very well.

Three important du'as (supplications) to be recited upon waking up in sha Allah.

■ الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi 'ahyana ba'da ma 'amatana wa'ilayhin-nushur.

Praise is to Allah Who gives us life after He has caused us to die and to Him is the return.
Bukhari 11/113; Muslim 4/2083

■ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدَ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ. سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ، ولَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ العَلِيِّ الْعَظيِمِ، ربِّ اغْفِرلِي

La "illaha "illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli shay"in Qadir Subhanallahi, walhamdu lillahi, wa la "ilaha "illallahu, wallahu "akbar, wa la hawla wa la Quwwata "illa billahil-'Aliyyil-'
Adhēm, Rabbighfir li.

There is none worth of worship in truth but Allah alone, Who has no partner, His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is able to do all things. Glory is to Allah. Praise is to Allah. There is none worth of worship but Allah. Allah is the Most Great. There is no might and no power except by Allah's leave, the Exalted, the Mighty. My Lord, forgive me.
Whoever says this will be forgiven, and if he supplicates Allah, his prayer will be answered; if he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted. Bukhari, 3/39, the wording here is from Ibn Majah 2/335

■ الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي فِي جَسَدِي، وَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحِي، وَأَذِنَ لِي بِذِكْرِهِ

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi "afani fi jasadi, wa radda 'alayya ruhi, wa 'adhina li bidhikri.

Praise is to Allah Who gave strength to my body and returned my soul to me and permitted me to remember Him.Tirmidhi 5/473.

THE TWO RAKĀT BEFORE FAJR SALAH

'Aishah (radiAllahuanha) reported:The Prophet (ﷺ) said,

"The two raka'āt before the dawn (Fajr) prayer are better than this world and all it contains." [Muslim]

Another narration goes:

"The two rak'āt before the dawn (Fajr) prayer are dearer to me than the whole world"

Note: This is done between the Adhaan and the obligatory Fajr prayer. Those visiting the masajids for Fajr its recommended they observe these two rak'āt at home and then proceed in sha Allah.

A Supplication to Remove Poverty and All Harms

Mak-hool (rahimahullah) said:

Whoever says —

لاَ حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللهِ ،وَلا مَلْجَأَ مِنَ اللهِ إِلاَّ إلَيْهِ

laa hawlaa wa-laa quwwata illa bilLaah, wa-laa mal-ja’a min-Allahi illa ilayH

There is no power nor strength except with Allah, and there is no refuge from Allah except unto Him

— Allah will remove from him seventy types of harm,

the least of which is poverty.

[Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah (rahimahullah), 20447]

From the Treasures of Jannah

Abu Musa (radiyAllahu ‘anhu) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said to me, "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Jannah?"

I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!"

Thereupon he (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,

لاَ حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللهِ

"(Recite) 'laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa bilLaah' (there is no change of a condition nor power except by Allah)."

It was asked:

"O Messenger of Allah! What does growing impatient mean?"

He (ﷺ) said:

"It is one's saying: 'I supplicated again and again but I do not think that my prayer will be answered.'

Then he becomes frustrated (in such circumstances) and gives up supplication altogether."

[Riyad as-Salihin 1499]

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“When the veil is lifted on the Day of Judgment, and people see the reward for their deeds, they will not find any deed with a greater reward than Dhikr (the remembrance of Allah).

At that moment, some people will regret and say:
‘There was nothing easier for us than Dhikr.’”

JUST REMAIN SITTING AFTER TASLEEM.

Narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (radiAllahuanhu)

Allah's Apostle ( sallallaahu alayhiwa sallam) said,

"The angels keep on asking for Allah's Blessing and Forgiveness for anyone of you as long as he is at his Musalla (praying place) and does not do Hadath (passing wind). The angels say, 'O Allah! Forgive him and be Merciful to him.' Each one of you is in the prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer and nothing but the prayer detains him from going to his family."
