"Jehovah". The non-biblical name Yahweh (Jahve) was concocted by German rationalist Heinrich Ewald (1803-1875), using extra-biblical sources to find the supposed proper pronunciation of the tetragrammaton (YHWH), since the pointing in the Masoretic Hebrew text was allegedly not inspired and preserved, and therefore the pronunciation has been lost (sic)?!
