Abu Dawud said:

Abu Dawud said:

I entered Karaz Al-Harithi and found him crying, so I said,

“What makes you cry?”

He said: “I did not read my portion of the Qur’an yesterday, and I think it is due to a sin I committed.”

What The Heart Acquires From The Qur’aan

The Allaama Ibn Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said:

❝Every time a person’s Eeman strengthens with the Qur’aan, then Allaah gives Yaqeen [certainty] due to the evidences of the Qur’aan which cannot be found in any other book.

This is why I encourage you and my self to have complete concern for the Qur’aan, reciting it, reflecting upon it and acting upon it.

Experience this for yourself, return to the Qur’aan in these matters and see what your heart acquires from Eemaan, delight of the heart, light of the heart and light on the face.❞

It is haraam for the guardian (walee) of a woman to force her to marry someone she does not want i.e without her consent.
__________

The Prophet salaAllahu alayhi wasalaam said: "No previously-married woman should be married off without being consulted, and no virgin should be married off without asking her permission" (Muslim 1419 & 1421).
.
They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is her permission?" He said: "If she remains silent" (Muslim 1419). She may give her consent in two ways; by verbally agreeing or by remaining silent out of shyness.
.
More so, a girl came to the Prophet salaAllahu alayhi wasalaam and informed him that her father had married her off against her objections. The Prophet gave her the choice i.e to remain in the marriage or to annul it (Sunan Abu Dawud, 2096).
_

If a woman is married off without her consent, then the marriage contract is invalid. Ibn Uthaymeen (rahimahullah) explained: It is haraam for a man to force his daughter to marry a man whom she does not want to marry, and what is haraam cannot be validated or implemented. (Al-Faatawa, pg.760).
.
Importantly, with regard to giving her in marriage when she is reluctant, this is contrary to common sense. And the man marrying her should make sure that she has given her consent and is not being forced, otherwise he is not man enough!.
.
Lastly, parents should fear Allah with regard to the Amanah (Trust) that Allah has given to them i.e their daughters and sons. They should follow the Sunnah and not the culture that they have found their forefathers following.

The reason for the disappearance of blessings.

The blessings have not been eradicated: except for abandoning the Taqwa (piety) of Allah and offending people.

WILL YOU RUN, WALK OR CRAWL OVER IT?

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen may Allah have mercy on him said:

"The siraat is a bridge that will be set up over Hell; it is narrower than a hair and sharper than a sword. People will pass over it according to their deeds. Whoever used to hasten to do good deeds in this world will pass quickly over the siraat; whoever was slow to do good deeds and whoever used to mix righteous deeds with bad deeds, and his bad deeds were not forgiven by Allah, may slip into the Fire; may Allah protect us.

People will vary in the ways in which they pass over the siraat. Some will pass in the blink of an eye, some will pass like lightning, some will pass like the wind, some will pass like swift horses, some will pass like fast camels, some will walk, some will crawl, and some will be thrown into Hell. No one will pass over this siraat except the believers only. As for the disbelievers, they will not pass over it, because on the Day of Resurrection they will be driven directly to Hell."

End quote from Sharh Riyaadh as-Saaliheen (1/470)

The most comprehensive supplication, which covers all the goodness a person would want in this world and in the hereafter, is the following dua:

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

"Our Lord, give us in the world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah Ayah 201)

Examples of good things of this world included in this supplication are:
• A pious spouse, children who are obedient and comfort to the eyes
• Halal earnings and ample provisions
• Beneficial knowledge and accepted deeds
• Good health, education and job
• And all good things a person wants, comfortable home, etc

Examples of good things of the hereafter included in this dua are:
• An easy death
• Being saved from punishment in the grave
• The reckoning and questioning of the Day of Judgment being made easy
• Obtaining the pleasure of Allah
• Being given one’s book of deeds in the right hand
• One’s scale of good deeds being heavy
• Entering the everlasting paradise
• Being saved from the punishment of the blazing hellfire

Hazrat Anas (Radhi Allahu Anhu) said that this was the most frequent supplication made by the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).
(Saheeh Bukhari no. 6389)

So we should also make it the most frequent supplication in our life as well and remind others.
