CELEBRATING THE NIGHT OF THE ISRĀ’ WAL MI'RĀJ.
So are you saying to Allaah and HIS messenger ﷺ

you don't know so let me add a little on my own in religion? ”

What is Isrā' Wal mi'rāj?

Isrā’ - the night journey

Wal - and

mi'rāj - the ascending to heaven

Proof :

Al-Isra' 17:1

Exalted is HE who took HIS Servant [i.e., Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ] by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa,

Now, There is no doubt that the isrā’ wal mi'raj are two great signs of Allaah.

Which date / month it happened?

With regard to this night on which the Isra’ and Mi’raaj took place,

there is nothing in the saheeh ahaadeeth to indicate that it is in Rajab or in any other month

Whatever the people says it's not correct, cus we do NOT know When it took placed exactly!

Can one celebrate it?

it is NOT permissible for us to celebrate it,

because the Prophet (ﷺ) and his companions (رضي الله عنهم ) did not celebrate it and they did not single it out in any way.

If celebrating it was something that is prescribed in Islam,

the Messenger would have told his ummah about that, either in word or in deed.

If celebrating this night had been prescribed in Islam, they would have been done

Since no such thing happened, it is known that celebrating it and venerating it is not part of Islam at all.

Allaah has perfected this ummah’s religion for it and has completed HIS favour upon them, and HE condemns those who introduce things into the religion which Allaah has not ordained.

Allaah says:

⬇️

Al-Ma'idah 5:3

This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you IsLam as religion.

Evidence from Hadith ⬇️****

Aa’ishah (رضي الله عنها ) that the Prophet (ﷺ ) said:

“Whoever introduces anything into this matter of ours that is not part of it will have it rejected.”

Fasting on this day

Fasting on the day which one believes to be the day of the Mi’raaj is not permissible, and comes under the heading of bid’ah.

NOTHING IS PRESCRIBED, NOTHING VIRTUES ARE THERE.

DO NOT INNOVATE IN RELIGION!

🖋The Origin Of Sins

Imām Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“All sins originate from three affairs:

  1. Pride, for pride led Iblīs to disobey Allāh’s command.

  2. Desires and greed, for desires resulted in Ādam’s expulsion from Paradise.

  3. Jealousy, for jealousy led one of Ādam’s sons to murder his own brother.

Therefore, pride eventually leads to apostasy, following your desires eventually leads to sinning, and jealousy eventually leads to oppression. Therefore, whoever protects himself from the ills of these three affairs has protected himself from all evil.”

[Al-Fawā’id, pg.58. ]

Wherever you are - keep your tongue moist with dhikr.

When a person remembers Allāh, Allāh will rememeber him as Allāh said:

فَٱذْكُرُونِىٓ أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ لِى وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ

"Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying) I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favours on you) and never be ungrateful to Me"

HOW TO GET A HEALTHY HEART? [5] There are five things that deliberately destroy the heart of a believer, and there are also five remedies that will give it health.

?What I mean by a healthy heart is one that is simple and clean, and full of faith, not one that is free from various ailments.

✍️Ibn Al Qayyim said: "Five destroy the human heart: -

[1] First: Associating with sinful people.

  1. Second: The eternal desire and dreaming of worldly things.

  2. Third: Belief in anyone besides Allah.

  3. Fourth: Always eating a lot and being gluttonous.

  4. Fifth: Too much sleep."

✍️And Ibrahim Al Khawwas said: "The cure for a broken heart is five: -

  1. First: The constant reading of the Qur'an, especially if it is to be understood.

  2. Second: Reducing food, or not being full.

  3. Third: The constant prayer in the middle of the night (Tahajjud).

  4. Fourth: The constant supplication to Allah every dawn.

  5. Fifth: Making friends with good people, people with strong faith."

✍️Ibn Al Qayyim also said: "The heart gets sick like the body and its cure is repentance, and it rusts like iron and what can remove its rust is remembrance (Dhikr), and it also suffers like other creatures and its adornment is the fear of Allah, and it is also hungry like the intestine and its food is trust and faith."

If you're in doubt about the character of a person, look at his friends.

❝Every man is attached to the one who resembles him. Every bird follows his own kind. Those of the same nature are inclined to each other. The good follow the good. The evil follow the evil.❞

— Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (RA)

❝Companionship with good people leads to beneficial knowledge, virtuous manners and righteous deeds, whilst companionship with bad people prevents one from all of this.❞

— Imaam as-Sa’dee (raḥimahullāh)
“Bahjatul-Abraar” p. 226.

❝There is nothing more beneficial to a Muslim’s heart than to mix with the righteous and to watch their actions, while nothing is more harmful to the heart than mixing with the sinners and watching their actions.❞

— Ahmad Ibn Harb

Don't be a Haasid!

It was said to Al-Hasan Al-Basri: "Does a believer envy his brother?" He replied, "May you have no father! Have you forgotten the brothers of Yusuf?" It was also said, "If you want to be safe from an envious person, conceal your affairs from him."

It is also said, "When Allāh wants to afflict His servant with an enemy who shows no mercy, He afflicts him with an envious person."

Al-Aḥnaf said, "There is no friend for a tedious person, no loyalty for a liar, no peace of mind for an envious person, no nobility for a miser, and no leadership for a person of bad character."

Some have said: "Envy was the first sin by which Allah was disobeyed in heaven; referring to Iblees envying Adam, and the first sin by which Allah was disobeyed on earth; referring to the son of Adam envying his brother up until he killed him."

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

‎“Shall I not inform you about the Residents of Paradise?

‎They are every humble person considered weak [whom the people look down upon],

‎but if they took an oath, ‎by Allāh it would be fulfilled

Shall I not inform you about the Residents of Hellfire?

They are every brute, haughty, and arrogant person.”

Sheikh aibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله said,

“How many a person really wanted to become righteous but remained in the company of those not righteous and then couldn’t do it.

If he were to have kept away from them, that would have been one of the ways to his being guided.”
