Ḥāfiẓ al-Mughlāṭāʾī stated: “I beheld the vision of Prophet ʿĪsā (peace be upon him) on 22 Rabīʿ al-Thānī 838 A.H. I asked him about Lady Ḥalīmah (the foster mother of the Prophet ‎ﷺ), and he replied, ‘May Allāh be well pleased with her.’” [Subul al-Hudā]

The wisdom behind the Prophet’s ﷺ journey (Al-Isrāʾ) being conducted while riding, despite the divine ability to fold the Earth for him, is an indication that it was done to comfort him with familiarity amidst an extraordinary event that broke the norms. This is because it is customary for a king, when summoning someone he holds in high regard, to send a noble mount to carry him during his journey to the royal presence.

‎The wisdom behind the Burāq being a creature smaller than a mule yet larger than a donkey, and white in color, and not in the form of a horse, indicates that the journey was one of peace and safety, not of war and fear. Alternatively, it may have been to demonstrate the miracle of extraordinary speed with a creature not typically associated with such swiftness. Its description as “white” is either due to its nature as a mount or as a reference to the term Burāq itself.

Sayyidunā ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar said to a man who had committed sins: “??? ???? ??????? ????? ??????”

The man replied: “?? ?????? ?? ?????.”

Ibn ʿUmar said: “?? ????̄?, ?? ??? ?????? ???? ?????? ??????? ??? ??? ???? ???, ??? ???? ?????? ????? ????????, ?? ???? ?? ??? ????? ????? ????.”
