That aside, after months of indulgence—frivolous behavior and mindless ice cream devouring—I finally got sick. Some people hate being ill, but I, on the contrary, cherish every second of it. My friends call and bring me soup or oranges, my students forgive me for being slow, and—perhaps best of all—I get to stay home, read a book, or binge-watch the endless list of TV shows I’ve been meaning to catch up on.

How have you guys been feeling these days?
