In short: Anarchy has returned to the streets of Israel tonight. Here's hoping the results of the American election will be enough of a distraction to quickly put an end to this madness.

Israel's demands in any settlement with Lebanon:

? The Lebanese army will work to dismantle any remaining Hezbollah infrastructure south of the Litani River;

? Israeli forces will remain in Lebanon until the above is completed and verify its fulfillment;

? Israel will have the ability to enforce the above on its own if it sees that Hezbollah is rearming and reestablishing itself;

? An effective arms embargo on Lebanon on land, in the air and at sea.

The thing is, even if two sides come together and officially agree on these terms, who are they kidding?

By now Israel knows it can't trust any deal made with these terror groups and the countries and regimes that harbor them.

Nor can Israel trust any "guarantees" by foreign powers, even America.

UN Secretary General António Guterres and Hamas again on the same page.

Both Hamas and the UN chief have condemned Israel's decision to stop cooperating with UNRWA, the UN humanitarian agency that became a front for Hamas.

Guterres called the decision by Israel "unacceptable," and Hamas demanded the UN take decisive action against the Jewish state.
