I brought you a new ultimatum must watch: youtu.be/cZYNADOHhVY.
Nick Bostrom (scientist, expert on artificial intelligence and author of the well-known scientific theory that we all live in a simulation, wrote in his time a fable (or a parable - it is possible and so to speak) that many transhumanists took to the arsenal. to death as to the inevitable phenomenon inherent in this world. The text is very powerful (the link is given below).
One of these days, one of my favorite YouTube channels CGP Gray has published an animated adaptation of the fable, and it's an absolute Must watch (see video).
And if you do not want to watch the video and prefer text (although the video is made cool, I advise), read Bostrom's fable

Every time I watch a new video from Kurzgesagt, I do it with wide open eyes and a slightly open mouth. And then a few more minutes I leave the view, being in rapture and reverence.
This time is no exception. Mind-blowing. Look and you are fresh Must Watch from Kurzgesagt about black holes: about how one day mankind will be able to extract energy from them, and how even after the last star in the Universe decays, black holes can provide billions of years of the existence of slowly decaying (post) human civilization.

Letterman and Jay Zee discuss police brutality in the US, racism and "n-word", fatigue from Trump's stupid policies, his betrayals to his wives and ways to save his family after them, his childhood and youth (when Jay-Z traded crack) and many others complex themes. And, of course, music: the confrontation of the West and East coasts, the young Kanye West, the questions "what is flow?", "How are rap songs composed?" And so on.
It turned out one of the most soulful interviews for a long time. Plus, it is interspersed with inserts from Letterman's visit to the studio to the legendary music producer Rick Rubin, where he hangs out with musicians at the studio, which has been converted from the Bob Dylan concert bus. This is the level!
This interview is a fresh release of the new transmission on Netflix "My Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman". The show comes out once a month, so this is the best interview in terms of quality. Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brien and other leading late night shows are unlikely to reach the same level, if only because their broadcasts are released several times a week.

Zuckerberg is interrogated in the US Senate about the recent scandal with user data, under the link - video. Look at how he behaves now: not the hipster in the sweatshirt as he was a few years ago, but already an experienced and cunning politician in his jacket, evading uncomfortable questions (for the sake of justice, I note that he is not asked the sharpest questions).

Brought you an absolute MUST WATCH - a new documentary "Do you trust this computer?". Ilon Mask wrote in his tweet: "There is no topic more important for the future of mankind than the artificial superintelligence, so watch this film." Therefore, Mask paid the director of this film, so that everyone could watch it for free on the Internet (this share of generosity was last week).
I just watched the movie this night, so I did not have time to warn you in advance. Now the film was again removed from open access (soon it will appear on paid streaming platforms), but enthusiasts managed to pour it on Yutyube: fly until they blocked it. I think, in this case, to distribute pirated content more than ethically: as many people as possible should watch this film, and the problem should become known.
I think this is one of the best documentaries I've seen, and it's like the most explosive brain. And it is quite affordable - you can even show it to your grandmother to convince her of the importance of the problem of almighty AI.
My score: 9 out of 10. Would put all 10 if the writers revealed more examples of the results of the superintelligence and the words are more specific about what efforts to combat this threat are being undertaken by Ilon Mask, Eliezer Yudkowski and other best minds of mankind.
The film's speakers: Ilon Mask, Wait But Why, Ray Kurzweil (the greatest futurist of the time), Jonathan Nolan (showman of the best series about AI "Westword") and many other cool experts. The movie itself is very stylish, with glitchy effects in the style of the series "Mr. Robot" and the soundtrack from the XX and Pigeons.
Masstvitch about the unexpected consequences of the decline in the popularity of shopping centres in the United States. It turns out that the next few years will close about a quarter of American shopping centres: trade and communication are increasingly going online. And this means that new public spaces should appear, where people could spend time together.
Interestingly, the first shopping centres appeared in the 1950s, but their boom did not last long.
