‏وكنا لا نغيبُ عن التلاقي
‏وإن ماجت بنا الأشواقُ جئنا
‏فلم أقصد ولم يقصد فراقي
‏ولكنا بلا تخطيط غبنا
‏فما عدنا وما عاد التلاقي
‏وما نال الفوادُ لما تمنى
‏تفرقنا وصار الذكرُ باقِ
