Nellie and I attended Vivek Ramaswamy's announcement rally tonight, where he announced his run for Ohio governor. He made lots of big promises, like eliminating property taxes, switching to merit-based teacher salaries, and making Ohio the leading place in the country to start a business. All this sounds good, but...

He said nothing about election integrity, and he's allied himself with Ohio Secretary of State, Frank LaRose, who is campaigning for state auditor. LaRose is a snake, and Ohio has crappy elections because of him. LaRose claims (like most SoS's) that Ohio's elections are the gold-standard in the country.

If by "gold," you mean the yellow color of stinky, dirty, baby diapers, then I agree.

Vivek is running as the anti-establishment candidate against the establishment candidate, Dave Yost. The corrupt establishment rules in Ohio, so I don't expect Vivek to make it through the primaries. And the fact that he's teamed up with LaRose means that LaRose is also out of the establishment's good graces. (Good riddance.)

I'm willing to meet with Vivek, and to set him straight on elections. But my guess is, he's already committed to his losing strategy. There's no way he's gonna get MAGA folks to turn out for him when he doesn't agree with our new MAGA president who knows that our elections are a wreck and openly says so. And doesn't agree with Elon either... and got booted from DOGE.

The tide has turned.

So, I doubt I'll be supporting Vivek. Too bad, I was hoping for another real anti-establishment candidate. He could be, but he's already made huuuge political errors right out of the gate.

"J6ers at CPAC"

Firsthand update...

Yes, a small group of J6ers were kicked out of CPAC, but most were readmitted.

But dozens were admitted and celebrated with no issues. I've spoken in person and at length with many of them. Patriots who have suffered under a tyrannical government that have now been vindicated.

Their sacrifice, though painful and sad, exposes the cancer of tyranny that was incrementally destroying our republic.

God bless them and restore them.
