Tolstoy and Nietzsche: How Christianity Ruined Christ

A brief summary of how Friedrich Nietzsche and Leo Tolstoy criticized institutionalized Christianity.

So this is for the young guys:

This is stuff I’ve learned and still live by, it’s all from my own brain, my own experience, or it was taught to me by older guys I used to look up to.

Don’t compare yourself to others too much. Compare your current self to your earlier self, use that as a measure.

Take pride in yourself and have faith in yourself. Break faith with the world if you feel you need to, but never lose faith in yourself.

Use what you see as a failure or shortcoming in yourself as motivation to improve. Don’t think: “I hate this about myself” and sit stagnant in despair, what’s the point of that?
Instead think: “I need to improve this part of myself.” Then start improving it immediately, and a little more each day. Criticise yourself to motivate yourself.

Don’t look for constant praise, acceptance and encouragement from others or from “society”. Every idiot does that and that’s why they’re so easy to trick and control.
Instead, derive your sense of confidence from within yourself.
Build a relationship with your ego; spend some time alone, confront yourself, attack yourself, pull apart the pieces of your mind and your memories and analyse them carefully –especially the ones you don’t want to look at.

When you hear that voice in your head “I can’t, I’m bad, I’m afraid, I’ll probably fail” etc, tell it to shut the f*ck up and start helping you instead of always hurting. Try to develop an aggressive ego which refuses to be weak.

Try to see the value in suffering. Pleasure, indolence and comfort make the body weak and the mind simple. Discipline and hardship does the opposite.
Embrace discomfort and suffering, don’t avoid it. Learn to use a shovel. Jog in the rain. Go without sugar for a day. Train your body and train your mind, constantly until both start to harden and develop.
Do no choose the couch, the debt, the cheese and the cakes. Society is ridden with walking examples of why you want to avoid that route.

If you fail in something you really cared about, getting a girl or a job you really wanted for example, get in the gym, grind and sweat out that despair, use the hurt to fuel yourself forward. Become too proud to be dragged down by anything and keep training. When you respect yourself this way, others can’t help but respect you as well.

No one actually cares for or sympathises with weakness, especially when you’re a man. Everybody despises and laughs at weak men. Women laugh and cringe at weakness the hardest, they only pretend to care to make themselves feel like good and moral people, but under the surface they are disgusted by weakness. Girls admire and follow strength; they’re attracted to *patience, aloofness, confidence, discipline.

All you have to rely on at the end of the day is yourself and your own strength.*

Understanding this, it should be clear that while you’re young and unmarried there is nothing that has more meaning than your own strength, building on your strength should then become your primary purpose and only through suffering, lifting, training, taking the harder path and overcoming your immediate desires can you get stronger.

The system wants you weak, gay and dumb. Resist everyday by building on your strength of body and mind.

The NQ

The nerd is incapable of creating uniqueness. So he signals his value by establishing false tiers of purity by way of critique culture.

The nerd can only categorize and criticize. If he is given too much voice he will bleed the vision of its soul with a thousand little persnickety cuts.

The nerd must be relegated to his place in the hierarchy as a bean counter and data organizer.

If not yoked, the nerds will amass a swarm and become all-devouring.

There's nothing on earth I hate more than traitors, cowards and the lazy.
