A shield for the shattered, a story untold.
Success, it commands, the mask we must wear,
While the weight of the world leaves us drowning in despair.

But what if we ripped back the layers unseen,
Beyond the facade, where the soul feels so keen?
Would we find demons, as society fears?
Or remnants of dreams, choked back by the years?

Perhaps in their silence, a story untold,
Of bridges burnt down, and love turned to cold.
Of burdens they carry, unseen and alone,
Aching for connection, a heart turned to stone.

Let's paint empathy's brushstroke, a tear-stained embrace,
To see past the facade, to the soul's lonely space.
For beneath every mask, a spirit resides,
Haunted by whispers, where no solace confides.

Maybe then, the masks would start to dissolve,
Replaced by raw vulnerability, a truth to involve.
A tapestry woven with threads of their plight,
Connecting us deeply, through the darkest night.

So let's break the silence, let understanding rise,
For beneath every mask, a wounded heart cries.
A story demanding to breathe and be known,

THE UNFOLDING STORY: LIFE’S GOODBYES AND THE JOURNEY TO OURSELVES

*Childhood laughter fades,
Replaced by the call of growing up.
It stings,
But ushers in maturity’s embrace.
Papa’s lets go of my hands,
Gently pushing me toward independence.
A tearful goodbye pave the way for reality’s sting.

These farewells, though painful,
Is inevitable and part of life.
One could no longer rely on papa,
As it was time to move on to the next stage.
Carefree days were traded for hard-earned freedoms.

School’s goodbyes bring relief and excitement,
The promise of a future built with our own sweat.
Mama’s teary hug whispers a different kind of farewell,
A bittersweet letting go as we build our own nests.
Every goodbye,
Though a chapter closes,
A new adventure was always waiting on the other side.

Life’s a constant ebb and flow.
It’s never stagnant.
We may cling to what’s familiar,
But growth beckons.
We learn, we love, we lose and we say goodbye.
It’s an unavoidable cycle
Woven with joy and sadness
But each step and goodbyes,
Takes us closer to who we’re meant to be

In life there are happy and bad times.
Sometimes we are scared to accept the next stage in our lives
But if we do not accept it, we may not see the beautiful times in that stage.
Yes, we must learn from the bad times and live in the good times
And remember that every step we take each day
Is a step to our death?

Your hand in mine, a brushstroke bold,
A future dreamt, a future told.
But time's cruel hand, it starts to fade,
The colors dim, a promise frayed.

I trace the outlines, worn and thin,
The faded smile, the playful grin.
Is this the love that used to be?
A haunting echo, staring back at me.

The warmth that radiated, now a chill,
A hollow space, a heart stands still.
We linger here, in twilight's hush,
Can love be rekindled from ashes' crush?

Perhaps a spark, a whispered plea,
To mend the cracks, for you and me.
But if the flame refuses light,
We face the truth, however night.

This faded fresco, bittersweet,
A love we had, a love incomplete.
The ending whispers, soft and slow,
