Is it too late to start farming Blast Gold?

I see this question daily in chat discussions and now I'll provide a detailed answer. This post is also strongly recommended for those who have previously farmed gold and have now stopped.

1. When will the token airdrop happen?

A week ago, I would have confidently stated that it was too late to get active in Blast, but as of May 16th, an announcement was made stating that the token airdrop is postponed by a month and will now occur on June 26th, with two additional gold distributions planned. This means there's still a whole month left to farm gold (You can participate in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th distributions).

1. Is it profitable to start farming now?

Yes, it's very profitable. In fact, it's more profitable than at the beginning because the first two distributions shared 10M gold each, and the competition was fierce. In the recent third distribution, 15M gold was shared, and it feels like the competition is lessening as some get tired of the prolonged farming and leave. If we see more than 15M gold in the fourth and fifth distributions, it will be much more profitable than before.

1. Current gold supply

First + Second + Third Distribution = 10+10+15 = 45M
Blur = 2M
Blast Jackpot = 5.4M

Total: 52.4M * 1.24 (Two-tier referral system) = 65M ingots currently in circulation. Regarding the final supply, I think it will be around 100-115M.

1. What about points?

Currently, 1 Gold = 108k points. With all the multipliers collected, you now receive about 36k points per day for every ether in your balance in Blast. This means you need to hold 1 ether in your balance for exactly three days to earn 1 gold. This is a very unfavorable option; it's better to invest your money in liquidity on sites. Points are for big players, and for the rest of us, they're just a nice bonus.

1. Where to farm gold

I'm quite knowledgeable about this and first, I'll tell you where not to go:
- All lending sites (Juice Finance, Orbit Lending, Pac Finance, etc.) - you provide a lot of liquidity and receive little gold
- All futures (Blast Futures Exchange, Particle, Wasabi, DTX, SynFutures, etc.) - Hedging turns out to be too expensive due to high project fees
- Almost all DEXs (Blaster Swap, Bladeswap, Ring Protocol, etc.) - you provide a lot of liquidity and receive little gold
- CryptoValleys
- Projects with <40k gold for distribution

Now about my favorite projects:
- I recommend providing liquidity on Thruster (https://app.thruster.finance/), because:
- They've received the most gold - 4.3M gold over three distributions. Even Pacman (founder of Blast and Blur) gave only 2 million to his product, Blur.
- The project has 7.5M investment (https://cryptorank.io/ico/thruster#funding-rounds) and its own points (called credits) which are most profitable to earn by providing liquidity.
- Security - as the most popular protocol with fund investments, it's safer here than in other protocols (although risks are always present everywhere).

I recommend choosing projects where some effort is needed for farming because this reduces the competition significantly. You have access to project Discords where you can learn about distribution details, which contains a lot of useful information (though not all info is up-to-date). If you can't find a good project - wealth might not be for you yet.

Before starting farming, be sure to register on the Blast Dashboard (blast.io/MMWRY), otherwise, you risk wasting time and money (If an error pops up after linking Discord, just re-enter the code MMWRY and registration will proceed).
