We are entering into the season of “muh unity.”

Unity is a “relative” concept, that defies easy categorization.

The idea being that if we set aside our differences as “patriots” and unite with atheists, and pagans, we will be stronger.

I don’t ascribe to this notion.

You don’t unite with the lost. You shepherd them.

You don’t overlook paganism. You combat it.

You don’t sacrifice Truth. You defend it.

I would rather unite under the banner of our one true God—the creator of Heaven and Earth—and a faithful remnant, than a million false gods and their followers.

Our nation is in need of a miracle.

The God of miracles does not sit at a table with Shiva, Baal, Molech, Ishtar, Jezebel, or with the faithless atheist.

The Founders appealed to Heaven and they got their miracle, though outmatched, outgunned, and fractured.

Don’t think for a second God gave us victory in 1776 because patriot “deists” bolstered the ranks of Christian patriots.

God moved in spite of them.

Our prayers matter. Who we yoke with matters.

So yes—love the lost, pray for the atheist, find common causes where you can, but never lose sight that our victory can only be achieved by uniting with God’s purposes.

Calling all followers of Christ Jesus!

We have an opportunity to take action as Christ-followers on April 23 at the Ottawa Board of Commissioners meeting at 12220 Fillmore St, West Olive, MI 49460. Over a year ago, a Satanist Temple group submitted their name to the county to be able to bring the invocation at a commissioners meeting. That date arrives on April 23. While we may not believe this should occur, we have an opportunity to serve Christ under the circumstances. 

Our ask:
• Arrive between 4:30p and 5p or as early as possible given your work schedule.
• Fill the foyer outside the meeting room (main entry to the county building).
• Sign up to speak during public comment (3 minutes max) if you feel called. Goal: 100 speakers.
• Pray individually, pray together in groups, cloak the place in prayer
• Be ready to sing/praise/worship at any time.
• Public comment: recommend reading Scripture, praying, focus on advocating Christ rather than giving the devil any air-time.

Please consider reading through Ephesians 6 before coming. We need to have our Spiritual Armor in place and ready for action!
