Abraham had heard that he was the father of many nations, so Sarah also had to hear for herself because reported speech does not bring faith.

Abraham did not believe for 25 years to have a child…. Nowhere in scripture is it written.
The Scriptures talk about the deadness of Abraham's body. He could not father a child with Sarah but how did he father a child with his Sarah’s maid?
Which means, old Abraham was ready and active.
That is why in Hebrews 11, the account of Abraham and Sarah were separate.
It says Sarah had to receive strength to conceive seed.

So what will he that believes do if he does not make haste?
He shall be at rest.
