William Charles McBride Jr., 41, was pronounced dead at a Knoxville hospital on April 17 after being shot at an Exxon gas station on North Broadway. Officer Seth Beeler arrived alone at 5:30 p.m. after a report of an erratic man. Footage shows Beeler exiting his cruiser at 5:28:09 p.m. and being told by a witness that a man with a knife was inside the store. McBride, seen near the door, runs out with knives in both hands. Beeler fires two shots, hitting McBride, who falls. The shooting occurred at 5:28:30 p.m., and Beeler handcuffs McBride three minutes later.
