❗Stay tuned for deadline! Policy Briefs submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. It is essential that you use the Policy Brief template (specific to each TF) and the Policy Brief Guidelines.

❗All Policy Briefs must be submitted in the TF PB Template, even if they were accepted without modifications.

?Note regarding references: following the Chicago Style, authors may cite their sources either: i) in a separate bibliography with all sources cited in alphabetical order; ii) in endnotes (not in alphabetical order).

?Note regarding word count: the 3000-word limit includes everything but the PB title, authors' information, Task Force details, and footnotes (used to provide additional information that is key and succint).

? The G20 community and members of Think20 Brasil will gather in Rio de Janeiro for the T20 Brasil Midterm Conference, a precursor event to the T20 Summit.
Leaders of national and international think tanks, members of academia, representatives of the private and public sectors and civil society will debate the progress achieved over the past months and present the recommendations that will be delivered to the leaders of the Sherpa and Finance Tracks of G20 Brasil.

? Venue: BNDES Auditorium, Rio de Janeiro

? The T20 Brasil Midterm Conference is organized by CEBRI, FUNAG, IPEA, Rio de Janeiro City Hall and BNDES, and sponsored by CAF, Equinor, Veirano Advogados, AWS, Microsoft and Suzano.

?️ Save the Date: T20 Brasil Midterm Conference

The T20 Brasil Midterm Conference, scheduled for June 30 – July 2, will convene T20 Brasil members and the larger G20 community for the highlight of this year’s T20 process.

Over these three days, policy experts will have the chance to review the progress made throughout the year and propose fresh ideas and avenues for collaboration leading up to the G20 Summit in November and beyond.

The Conference will culminate in the release of the T20 Brasil Communique, the synthesis of key recommendations formulated by T20 Brasil, and its delivery to G20 officials.

Preliminary program to be announced soon.

Policy briefs should feature at least two co-authors from different think tanks and countries, with gender balance – ensuring at least one male and one female co-author.

This procedure aims to enhance collaborative networks across think tanks.

? CALL FOR POLICY BRIEF ABSTRACTS ??

The T20 Brasil process will put forward policy recommendations to G20 officials involved in the Sherpa and Finance tracks in the form of a final communiqué and task force recommendations.

To inform these documents, we are calling upon think tanks and research centres around the world – this invitation extends beyond G20 members – to build and/or reach out to their networks, share evidence, exchange ideas, and develop joint proposals for policy briefs.
The latter should put forward clear policy proposals to support G20 in addressing global challenges.
