Today is Good Friday…and my 46th birthday. (I am deferring my birthday celebration with family till next week to keep the focus on Jesus Christ.)

I turn 46 and there are 46 days in Holy Lent so it’s perfect timing this year. This is the birthday of middle aged penance!

At 46, I often feel like George Bailey at the end in It’s a Wonderful Life. Despite the pains of life, I have a wife and 8 children who love me, and 100s of friends and family who lift me up, pray for me and encourage me.

I am grateful to every one of you for your kindness. I am who I am because of the generosity of other people. I contemplate this often. I am truly grateful to God, my wife Joy, my 8 children, my parents, my family, and you.

Our Lord Jesus Christ died for us today and 100% of all blessings and graces flow from His pierced side. He is the King. He is the Savior. He deserves all adoration and worship. All glory to Christ the King. Lord Jesus, hide us in Thy riven side. We love Thee with our whole heart. Redeem us in Thy blood.
