In our culture we tend to equate thinking and intellectual powers with success and achievement.

In many ways, however, it is an emotional quality that separates those who master a field from the many who simply work at a job.

Our levels of desire, patience, persistence, and confidence end up playing a much larger role in success than sheer reasoning powers.

Feeling motivated and energized, we can overcome almost anything.

Feeling bored and restless, our minds shut off and we become increasingly passive.

Messenger Boy:The Thessalonian you're fighting-- he is the biggest man I've ever seen. I wouldn't want to fight him.

Achilles:That's why no one will remember your name.

*an apologyBack on December 30th, deadlines were closing in. This meant I lost a lot of sleep.

I know some of you needed my help during this time, and I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you. I tried my best to be available, but it just wasn't possible to be everywhere at once. I let some of you down because I couldn't respond to your requests for help, and for that, *I'm really sorry.

Good luck all.* Happy to be back!

📌Notes from the meeting with Parizoda:

- Start as early as possible and try everything
- Then there is high possibility of finding your vision!
- Use "people" (tanish-bilish) to get an internship or experience in Political Science
- If you don't have "people" then create one (get involved in projects or create one)
- Improve and work on your vision, so that you won't get lost in crowd of persuasion
- Learn about Columbian Tradition

📌Notes from the meeting with Sanjar:- Business is mainly about experience rather than the knowledge.
- Show how you did something instead of telling.
- Be multidimensional: don't be CS guy but be CS and Media studies guy!
- Learn about Hollywood movie structure (not Bollywood)
- There are many extracurricular opportunities that need to be applied to such as YYGS, Pioneer research, etc.
@lyoshasabuse is having a Kahoot Session tomorrow. First three places will get one-hour-consultation with Sanjar.

Like Mahatma Gandhi, he is truly open to minds, understanding every shift and flexibility with the right approach and respect. Yet, he is aware of his own principles and guidelines he must adhere to, taking steps and analyzing them through that spectrum.

Similar to Jay Gatsby from F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby," he never openly discusses his problems with anyone except for the one in whom he has always believed. You never catch him like that - he bears that ideal freewheeling sense, like it is insanely impossible for an ordinary creature.

And just like Vito Corleone, he pushes himself to assist everyone with any necessities arise. He feels complete when he is in service. He feels full when he is the cause of those: smiles, peace, and growth.

Yet, just like Hermione Granger from "Harry Potter," to feel more, and to be felt more, he is onto learning, reading, writing, allowing himself to see more, to serve more. He immerses himself in heavy books, envisioning what he would do if he too were facing conflicts in them - how would he approach?

Admittedly, yes, there are times when he retreats to his room alone, secluded from the "world," accompanied only by his thoughts. But no one knows what occupies his time there - abstractness is at its fullest, but one thing is imminently true: he inevitably comes back - always does - with a broad smile and an air of responsibility to service. He has duties to complete, tasks to do, and requirements to meet: his farewell is never to be seen, never conceived to be believable.

Truly resonating with Jay Pritchett from the TV series "Modern Family," he may not express his affection in words as openly as some, but his acts consistently demonstrate his unlimited and unconfined love for those around him.

Much like Rocky Balboa from the 'Rocky' film series, he is at the peak of his physical strength, having trained and worked on it since the age of 16. His presence in the room, even if he is silent, can be felt from 5 feet away - the air is very spacious, to use figurative language.

Just like Forrest from 'Forrest Gump," he sees positivity even in the death of self or comrade, serving as a source of strength - sometimes an awe - for others. He never lets his "dark, villain character" get out if it is to hurt his closest. But if it's vice versa, when his closest are to be hurt, that demon is there, always waiting for its time to come out, destroying what is to be seen.

Just like Ayub (Job) - the prophet - he can wait well. He never questions God's plan or demands relief from his suffering. Instead, he maintains his faith and patience, believing that there is an ultimate purpose to his trials - waiting for him.

Just like no one else, he wishes to die but only with a smile, with the peace that he accomplished what he was supposed to do, or at least did his 'best' to make this road by living.

At his ultimate, just only like himself, says to his mother, "mom, I am dead when only I am forgotten)"
