Retrograde Season : Saturn, Mercury, Mars & Jupiter.

We have only just come out of a Saturn retrograde which took up almost the whole of 2024. That would be, entering retrograde Shadow, the actual retrograde period and coming back out through the shadow space not to mention the intense energy of Saturn stationary both prior to retrograde and prior to tiring direct.

And it's not even over yet. It ends in mid February 2025 when we've completed the whole process and Saturn is finally out of its own shadow.

Now, we are also currently in the Mercury retrograde. You know the whole drill by now, communication malfunctions.

On a subtle level Mercury is the flow of intelligence manifesting as good communication. The ability to convince others is an attribute of a good Mercury.

During a mercury retrograde this clear flow is disrupted and so we are forced to review, reconsider, realign and rewrite something from the recent past.

Retrogrades are a beautiful way of assisting our growth.

VERTICAL STAR TRAILS:

A favorite of astrophotographers since the invention of the camera, star trails are dizzying. Long exposures reveal a swirling vortex of starlight around the North Celestial Pole. Instead of a vortex, however, Wioleta Gorecka recently visited the Seyschelles and found a rain storm:

"Summer is a good time to travel to interesting places. One of them is the equator, where vertical startrails can be photographed," says Gorecka. "During my vacation in the beautiful Seychelles, this was one of my main goals, and the effect exceeded my expectations."
