'Surya Tilak' illuminates Ram Lalla's forehead at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, on the occasion of Ram Navami

On the midnight of Shukla Navami in the month of Chaitra, Adi-Para-Shakti herself was born as the daughter of the Mountain king Himavan and Mother Menavati. Flowers rained from the heavens over the land of Aushadhiprashta, where blossoms flourished in celebration. The clouds wept tears of joy as the Goddess was born with a complexion resembling that of a dark cloud. Divine beings descended to earth to celebrate the birth of Himavan's daughter. Lakshmi and Saraswati appeared as midwives for the newborn girl. Brahma, Vishnu, Indra, and other celestial beings reverently bowed their heads and offered praises to the divine baby.
