Democrats already created a party that it didn't matter what you believed or your character, as long as you voted their way you were credited righteous. That is now the Republican Party, too. You can be a forever war globalist (Lindsey Graham), a psychologically broken female impersonator (Bruce Jenner), and now a BLM activist. But if you pimp Trump you are good to go.

Both parties have now largely succumbed to identity-based politics.

Trump so far this primary:

-We can’t be pro life anymore.
-Admits he’s only talking tough on the debt now because he’s not in office.
-Thinks Epstein killed himself.
-Doesn’t know if a man can become a woman.
-Says he’d arm Ukraine even more than Biden.
- In willful denial about his poison poke.
-Embraces BLM activist.

Dang, if only there were like a movement or even an industry empowered along the way to hold our candidates/standard-bearers accountable on fundamental issues, or even inform our base of such information.

The first time Trump ran, I believe God used him to expose them. This time around, I believe God is using Trump to expose us.

Contrast of the last 24 hours quite stunning.

DeSantis calmly and efficiently guiding his large state through yet another crisis, this one a category-4 hurricane, which he’s done so many times now it is almost taken for granted.

Trump telling Beck he has no regrets for how he faced the biggest crisis of his presidency — with the still ongoing destruction of lockdowns and the poison poke. But then he tries to gaslight his own base, who was punished the most by those terrible policies, with a screed condemning “Covid tyrants” with no self-awareness whatsoever.

I am blown away by the amount of people I still see wearing masks here in So Cal. Outside, in the heat, and voluntarily. At this point I'm not even angry seeing it anymore, but sad because of how many people in blue states like this are apparently just permanently broken.
