The phased timeline in a nutshell.

1) Israelis infiltrated the supply chain to Lebanon and developed (probably many) plans around the region’s dependence on (all types of) mobile devices.

2) Israelis became really good at targeting Hezbollah leadership off cellular devices in use.

3) Hezbollah reacts by dumping phones and activating a good old fashioned callback system - pagers. Btw, the number of companies still making pagers is quite small, especially encrypted pagers.

4) Either the pagers were modified in the manufacturing process (means Motorola and the US involved) or the shipments were intercepted and parts replaced (and tested) before reaching the final destination. The tech isn’t straightforward either, because the Israelis need to isolate a command detonation signal from the device’s regular use:
- explosive was likely built into the battery (makes it hard to detect if someone looks).
- needs an independent circuit for detonation (not sure how that works - needs to recognize that command detonation signal).
- explosive (doubtful on the battery exploding like that) can be quite small, mere grams, the pager provides the frag.

5) Israelis wait for full activation across the population (probably has the encryption broken too) watches patterns, then chooses the optimal timing.

Hezbollah has another problem. How do they know if other systems are compromised. As Hezbollah dumps its network, they can’t trust their backup (if they have one). Also, all phone numbers are assumed compromised.

BCSO the shooting occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Highway 41a South.

We have several hundred dollars worth of open records requests we are attempting to finish paying for. ($300 + 2 more files pending final court dates next month)
Any support would be much appreciated. The sooner we can obtain the records the better as there are hours of body camera footage they are going to want to redact and that gets expensive, and those things tend to get "discarded" first.
