One of the signs of Allah's love for His servant is:
"The heart's distress over neglecting [rememberance of Allah]. When he misses reciting the Quran, he is saddened, and when preoccupied with worldly matters, he regrets missing out on remembrance and worship." (Actions of the Heart | 28/2).

And in this regard, Hammād ibn Muslim said: "When Allah loves a servant, He increases his concern for what he has neglected."

O Allah, help us in remembering You, expressing gratitude to You, and worshiping You excellently.

من علامَاتِ محبَّةِ اللَّهِ سبحانه للعبد :

" انزعاجُ القلبِ من التفريطِ، فإذا فاتهُ وِرده من القرآن حَزِن، وإذا شغله مُهِمٌّ من أمرِ الدنيا، تحسَّرَ على ما فاته من الذكر والعبادة".

- (أعمال القلوب | ٢٨ / ٢).

وفي هذا يقول حمّاد بن مسلم :
" إذا أحبَّ اللَّهُ عبدًا أكثرَ همَّه فيما فرَّط ".

اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنَّا عَلَى ذِكرِكَ، وَشُكرِكَ، وحُسنِ عِبَادتِك.

With what right can we possibly complain of any hunger?! Look at the situation of your brothers and sisters! Look at the situation of our young children! None of us have the right to complain that the food we wanted wasn’t cooked or even complain of the pangs of hunger.

There is a great difference between our fasting and their fasting. Ours will only last for a month, whilst theirs has been lasting for many months. Our fasting ends by midnight. Their fasting has been without end! Be grateful. Do not forget your brothers and sisters in your duas. Love for your brother what you love for yourself.

Do not forget Palestine in your prayers! Especially, when you are breaking your fast. Just because it’s not “trending” as much anymore doesn’t mean we forget all and go silent.
