NZ LOYAL PARTY CHANGES TACK, DISREGARDING PARTY FAITHFUL

A recent video posted by NZ Loyal Party Leader Liz Gunn has advised the party faithful of her decision to step away from the party and change the parties direction and status.

The change will see NZ Loyal de-registered as a political party and become a 'people's movement' under the new Leadership of John Armstrong, the former NZ Loyal candidate for Botany.

The move has infuriated many NZ Loyal Party supporters who are incensed that this decision has been made in violation of the Party's own constitution and arbitrarily without consultation to the members of the board.

Disenfranchised party members are taking action through the call for a SGM [Special General Meeting] where the members assert they have the right to decide the fate of the party and not what has become a dictatorial leadership that has abandoned all the assurances given to them.

We expect this SGM to be held in the near future.

50 people are needed to petition the board to advise them of their intentions to hold a SGM according to the constitution.

Any NZL members who wish to be part of the meeting, where voting for the future direction, leadership and board will be on the agenda, are invited to contact Lisa Williams directly on +64 2177 5896, so the board can be notified.

Lisa says "it's about honouring the people and the party process. Regardless of the outcome, it's important to allow the democratic process of giving the party members the opportunity to put forward their wishes by due process and in line with the party constitution."
