🕸️ Halloween Fun: Spooky Facts and Words You Need to Know! 🕸️

It’s that time of year again when the ghosts come out, the pumpkins glow, and you can eat as much candy as you want without feeling guilty (well, maybe a little).
But Halloween is more than just costumes and sugar rushes. Here are some spooky facts and cool expressions you probably didn’t know!

1. Halloween Didn’t Start in America! Did you know Halloween has roots in an ancient Celtic festival called Samhain? People believed that on this night, the barrier between the living and the dead was super thin! 👻 So, they dressed up to hide from spirits. Guess what? We’re still dressing up... but mostly to look fabulous!
2. The Word "Halloween" Means... What?! It comes from “All Hallows' Eve”, the night before All Saints' Day. Hallow means “holy person” or “saint,” and “eve” means the night before. So technically, Halloween is "the evening before the holy day." Holy pumpkins, Batman! 🎃
3. Trick-or-Treating Wasn’t Always About Candy! Back in the day, people used to hand out things like fruits, nuts, or even... money! 💰 (Can we bring that back, please? Asking for a friend!)

Spooky Vocabulary You Need:
• Ghost 👻 — the spirit of a dead person. (Hopefully a friendly one like Casper!)
◦ I saw a ghost... or maybe it was just my neighbor in a sheet.
• Haunted 👁️ — a place visited by ghosts or spooky things.
◦ That old house looks haunted... maybe it’s just bad wallpaper?
• Spooky 😱 — something that makes you feel nervous or scared in a fun way.
◦ The fog on Halloween night made everything feel extra spooky!
• Bone-chilling 🦴 — so scary it makes your bones cold! (Not literally, but close.)
◦ That horror movie had some bone-chilling moments!

And now, for a little Halloween joke (because even skeletons love a good laugh):
Why don’t mummies take vacations?
Because they’re afraid they’ll relax and unwind! 🧻😂

So, this Halloween, remember: stay spooky, enjoy the treats, and maybe learn a little Halloween history to impress your friends! Just don’t get too scared... or do. It’s Halloween, after all! 😈👀
