የዓመት በዓል እየጠበቁ: በሕዝብ በዓል ላይ በመገኘት: ጠብ-አጫሪና መርዘኛ ንግግር በማድረግ: የዘር-አጥፊ ወንጀለኛ ሥርዓትን ለመቤዠትና በዚህም ሕዝባዊ/ባህላዊ ተቀባይነት ለማግኘት የሚደረገውን ሙከራ ማውገዝ የኦሮሞነት ግዴታ ነው::

የራስን በዓል ለማክበር በሌሎች ላይ መዘባነን አያስፈልግም:: ባህልና በዓል የሕዝቦች ማቀራረቢያና ማስተሳሰሪያ እንጂ: ማቃቃሪያና ቁርሾ ማስታወሻ ሊሆን አይገባውም::

While celebrating cultural events such as #Irreecha, one should reject Shimelis Abdissa’s weaponisation of culture in an attempt to legitimise his/Abiy’s genocidal regime. His gingoistic annual rant on these events, too often claiming that this regime made the celebration possible, must be denounced as a vicious lie. So should the strategically deployed divisive and toxic language he uses.

President Ruto made a great speech at the UNGA, making an emphatic call for UN Reform and a vigorous assertion (for Kenya) to take up more global roles as a responsible citizen of the international community. Given what is going on in Kenya now, one may say that this (speech) is punching above one’s weight. It’s a great speech nonetheless.
