New regulations on human genome editing have been adopted in South Africa, making the country the first to allow the creation of genetically modified children. These changes have raised concerns and sparked debates, particularly regarding the following aspects:
⦁ Ethical issues: Genome editing, especially making heritable changes, raises broad ethical questions. This process could lead to the creation of "designer babies," which may exacerbate social inequalities.
⦁ Safety and long-term effects: The long-term effects of genetic modifications are not yet fully understood. Changes may be passed on to future generations, potentially leading to unforeseen consequences.
⦁ Social impact: The development of genetic editing technologies could increase social inequality and create new social strata within society.
⦁ Legislation and regulation: The new regulations in South Africa may not align with laws in other countries, which could negatively impact international cooperation.
These changes are likely to provoke discussions and debates on a global scale, as other countries may face difficulties in determining their stance on these issues. It is crucial to observe how South Africa navigates the field of genetic editing with its new regulations.
There are more advantages, so huge disadvantages too...
Next semester i would like to give this theme for course project
Important Notice for Lab Report Submission
To all dental students,
We have reviewed your recent lab reports and noticed that many of you did not follow the proper guidelines. While we have given full points this time, moving forward, all lab reports must strictly adhere to the provided format and guidelines.
Lab Report Submission Guidelines:
1) Your Full Name and Student ID: This is essential for identification.
2) Group Number: Include the group number you were assigned for the experiment.
3) Experiment Title: Clearly state the title of the lab experiment.
4) Lab Report Number: Indicate the specific report number (e.g., Lab Report #2).
All lab reports must follow the sample template provided. Reports not following this format will have 50% of the score deducted.
Group Work: Each student must submit their own report, even if working in a group. Only the result section (including photos) may be identical; all other sections must be individually written. Reports with multiple student IDs will receive zero points.
Plagiarism: Copying from other students, ChatGPT, or any online source (e.g., Google) will result in strict penalties:
Zero points will be given to students submitting identical reports.
50% of the score will be deducted if any part of the report is copied from ChatGPT or other internet sources.
We use specific software to detect plagiarism and AI-generated content. Ensure that your work is original and double-check your submissions for any similarities to avoid penalties.
Submit only in PDF or DOCX format.
Include your name, student ID, group number, lab report title, and report number.
Photos should be limited, results only, with proper citations for any internet-sourced images.
Why These Guidelines Matter:
Following these rules will help you develop essential skills, including writing formal documents, structuring scientific reports, and managing professional documentation. These skills are valuable not only for academic success but also for your future careers.
By adhering to these guidelines, you will strengthen your ability to work with and present formal documents—an essential skill for any professional field
Moving forward, these guidelines will be strictly enforced. Reports that do not meet these standards will not receive full credit. Thank you for your attention to these requirements, and we look forward to seeing your improved submissions.
Best regards,
Dilnavoz Berdiyeva

We should go?
Dear Medical School students,
I have sent your lab report results to you via edu plus. If there is a problem with your grades, you have 2 days to appeal.
Appeal days:
Tuesday: from 16:30 to 18:00
Wednesday: from 11:30 to 14:00.
Wednesday: from 16:30 to 18:00
If the grade is TBA, then you have not uploaded a lab report for the subject.
Scores were deducted because some lab reports were uploaded after the deadline.
But I must say that some students' laboratory reports differed from other laboratory reports due to the fact that they were scientifically written and the student's opinion was given. I would like to express my gratitude to all the students who actively participated in the lesson.
Best regards,
Berdiyeva Dilnavoz
