It was hunting lesson time for killer whale calves in Monterey Bay, CA. The calves practiced their hunting skills by tossing waterfowl into the air.

Good Samaritans risked their lives to rescue a man from a burning car at the side of a Washington highway.

A West Virginia Natural Resources Police Officer and a wildlife management employee were injured in a UTV crash in Boone County.

Andy Malinoski, director of Marketing and Communications for the WV Department of Commerce says the roll-over crash happened in the Coal River Wildlife Management Area. He said the officer and the employee were working in a remote area of the Coal River WMA when the incident happened.

According to Malinoski, the NRPO officer was flown to CAMC General to be treated for his injuries. The wildlife management employee’s injuries were less threatening, he says.
