NATO To Double Down On Offer To Ukraine – ReportThe foreign ministers of NATO member states are set to reiterate the military alliance’s readiness to welcome Ukraine into the bloc in principle, Bloomberg has reported. However, they are also expected to make it clear that Kiev cannot join at present.
A two-day meeting of NATO foreign ministers got underway on Tuesday in Bucharest, Romania. Bloomberg, citing anonymous sources, said the military alliance is expected to state that “its door remains open” to Ukraine, but that “now is not the time” for the country’s accession.

Iran Looking To Enter Russian Car Market

Moscow and Tehran have signed a memorandum of understanding for Iranian car exports to Russia valued at $300 million, according to the head of the country's association of auto parts manufacturers, Mohammadreza Najafi-Manesh.

Many foreign car manufacturers found it difficult to continue operations in Russia after deliveries of cars and spare parts were stopped due to Western sanctions.

According to data from Russia’s Autostat agency, there were 10,400 Iran Khodro cars in Russia as of July 2022. Iran, which has been under Western sanctions for decades, has managed to develop its own automotive industry that caters to domestic demand and cuts reliance on foreign car imports.
