One Saturday afternoon, on our usual daily calls, my Grandfather had told me - “Shonu, how would you like a car? If you learn to drive, I will get you a small car. Tata is making such nice cars!” ?

In those days, I truly had little interest in cars, but the old man seemed joyous to think of the idea that he will get me a car someday.

“I have one bet, you have to leave your parents, and come live with me.” He laughed, “Then you will drive me to my friend, Subodhchandra in B-block every weekend.”

When I got my first car at 22, and unwrapped it, I once again laughed at the irony that I don’t have the man I loved the most, with me, in these moments.?

I never posted about it, because the emotion of joy of your first car was at battle with the grief of not having him beside me.

Ever since I got financially independent, every big and bigger milestone I achieve, I truly feel grateful for everything, but remember that without your family or loved ones to share these with... they are worth little.❤️

And yes...finally, almost a year after I got this beautiful beast... I am sharing it with you.✨

It’s my family’s first-ever car, so everyone is over the moon.

You should see my father in the passenger seat, or my mother forgetting every other time that it has a sunroof and cutely asking - “Why is the top opening! ? “

Here’s your sign, to do it, and do it soon.?

Not just for yourselves, but for the ones you love - who push you everyday.
