Allah says in surah al-Zumar [39]:
[إِنَّ اللَّـهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا]
"Indeed, Allah forgives all sins." [53]
Commenting on this, shaykh 'Abd al-Razzaq al-Badr said:
[ قال أهل العلم: هذه أرجى آية في كتاب الله؛ لأنَّ الذنوب مهما عَظُمت إنْ تاب العبد منها وصدق في توبته إلى الله تاب اللهُ عليه.]
The scholars have said that this is the most hope-inspiring ayah in the Qur'an, for no matter how terrible one's sins are, if a slave repented from them and was sincere in his turning back to Allah in repentance, Allah turns to him in forgiveness.
[Brief Remarks on al-Da' w'al-Dawa', recording #6]
Is your MAIN concern the Akhira or Dunya?
It was narrated that Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Whoever is mainly concerned about the Hereafter, Allaah will make him feel independent of others and will make him focused and content, and his worldly affairs will fall into place.
But whoever is mainly concerned with this world, Allaah will make him feel in constant need of others and will make him distracted and unfocused, and he will get nothing of this world except what is decreed for him.”
(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2389; classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6510).
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“How strange it is that when a servant of Allāh has a problem, he seeks the help of Allāh but he never asks Allāh to cure his heart before it dies of ignorance, neglect, fulfilling one’s desires and being involved in innovations. Indeed, when the heart dies, he will never feel the significance or impact of his sins.”
[al-Fawā’id | Pg. 180]
Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله:
“The devotee shall find no comfort in this life; if he feels he is veiled [from his Lord] he weeps for being distanced from his Lord, and if the gate of acceptance is opened for him, he fears being expelled.”
[Seeds of Admonishment & Reform | Pg. 73]
A man said to al-Hasan al-Basri (rahimahullah):
Advise me.
He رحمه الله said:
Honor the commands of Allah and Allah will honor you.
[az-Zuhd of Ibn al-Mubarak (rahimahullah), 78]

Seeking knowledge , expiates sins
Allah The Al mighty said:
{وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ ﴾
[هود:114].
{And perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), at the two ends of the day and in some hours of the night [i.e. the five compulsory Salat (prayers).
Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds (i.e. small sins).
That is a reminder (an advice) for the mindful (those who accept advice).} [Hud :114]
Ibnul -Qayyim, (may Allaah سبحانه و تعالى have mercy on him) said in “The Key to Dar Al-Saada” (212)
The Virtues of knowledge: Seeking knowledge is one of the best forms of good deeds and good deeds expiate bad deeds.
It is only befitting and worthwhile that seeking knowledge for the sake of Allaah expiates past sins.
The narrations prove that following up a sin with good deeds wipes out the sin. So what about the best of deeds and the most honorable forms of obedience!
**The Obligation Of Obeying husbands in whatever is not sinful
Q: I'm married and my husband refuses to let me take contraceptives as he does not suffer from the pain I suffer. I have taken contraceptives without his knowledge, is this permissible? My husband says that it is enough that I breast feed my baby to prevent me from getting pregnant again.
I intended not to take contraceptives after Hajj, so what shall I do?A: If it is possible not to take contraceptives, that would be better. But if you will be greatly hurt and burdened, then it would be permissible to take them otherwise, it would be better not to use them. Obeying your husband is a must unless the hurt is great. Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says: “So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as you can.”
[Majmoo ’al-Fataawa Ibn Baaz, Vol.: 21, pp. 183 - 184]**
Abu Nasr al-Maghribi said:
“A woman should be beautiful without beautifying herself.”
● {Nuzhah al-Ashab p.142}
Shaykh Rabee‘ al-Madkhali, [may Allāh preserve him], said:
“Whoever aspires to tread the path to Paradise must follow in the footsteps of the Prophets. Along this path, one must be ready to confront trials and tribulations, for these are the inevitable challenges faced by the Saved Sect and Victorious group in every era and place.”
Al-Majmū‘ Kutub wa Rasā’il wa Fatāwa, 10/645 | Shaykh Rabee‘ bin Hādi al-Madkhali, [may Allāh preserve him].
