We can’t control everything so remember to pray ?? over your food, Ask that it will strengthen and nourish your body, that there will be no impurities in it. Bless the hands that have prepared it. When we trust in God He will make all things be for our good. In the meantime, keep looking for how you can improve your health and avoid toxins and chemicals wherever possible. ?
I am still trying to process what happened last night, but I think it was a miracle!
We were on our way to Gail’s house from Castle Hill to Maraylya. A 26km drive through rural areas. I noticed my petrol was near empty but there was no petrol stations for miles.
As the van with myself and 3 kids pulled to a holt at the side of the road, the power steering gave way and I landed on the grass just off the road enough for cars to pass by.
There were plenty of cars passing by and occasionally some would pull into the turning bay just behind me.
I had 1% battery life on my phone which I used to call Gail and let her know where we were.
We were headed there to help her but now she had to help us.
After 10 mins or so, Gail called to say she thought I was on a different road and had to turn around. That’s when my phone died.
Fortunately my son had 5% on his phone so we called Simon (dad) to let him know where we were. I asked Simon to call Gail ( since we had no numbers) He rang back and said she had to go home and fix the horses so she would be a while.
We settled in and the kids played with sticks and a ball they found whilst I worked on a dot to dot book to pass the time.
I heard a truck pull into the bay but on approach the driver said he had clutch problems so he couldn’t help us. I went back to my dot to dot.
I thought of another friend to call and rang Simon to see if he could contact her but no reply.
After about 45 mins, I wondered if I should be more engaged about finding a solution to get out of there but I was so content to keep drawing that the thought almost left my mind.
At that moment I heard a lady’s voice. I turned around to see a car that had pulled up in the turning bay.
As I approached I could hear two voices. The lady finished up on her call and I spoke to her mentioning that I had run out of petrol. To my amazement she said “Me too!” She offered to let me use her phone but I suggested it wasn’t necessary cos I didn’t know any numbers to call.
Since Her husband was on his way from Windsor to bring her diesel, I asked if he could bring me some petrol ⛽️ Of course she was only to happy to help. He was coming from Windsor but had to take the long route because the roads were closed due to flooding.
We chatted for a while until the heavens opened up and the rain came down.
It was dark by this time and the kids jumped in the van and helped my finish another dot to dot. (Which was now hard to see in the dim light)
Eventually her husband arrived with 10ltrs of petrol. Enough to get to the next station.
I didn’t realise until I saw the flooded creek that Gail couldn’t have come to me if she wanted to.
We turned around and made our way home back the way we came.
Reflecting on the event later I felt calm the whole time. It was the least amount of energy used to get out of a difficult situation. ?
The chances of someone else running out of petrol in the exact spot at the same time was extraordinary! What if I had run out of petrol while crossing the creek just a few hundred meters ahead? So many what if’s, the whole experience could’ve been disastrous.
I feel so blessed to have made it out of there when we did and not have to be rescued hours later. We were not in any discomfort or distress. The kids played happily. We met a lovely couple. I thank my Heavenly Father for watching over us that day.
Was it a miracle? Or just coincidence? ?
