Disabled mother of 3 arrested for asking people to “make Christmas palestinian” this year

A disabled mother of three from Salisbury, Fiona Ryan, claims she was arrested on Saturday morning by Wiltshire police for making a TikTok video where she asked her viewers to “make Christmas Palestinian” this year.

The video can be seen in the post above.

According to Fiona, the police arrested her after “several” complaints were made to them of “antisemitism”, accusing her of “rewriting history” for calling Jesus Christ a Palestinian.

Just to clear up any doubt, Jesus Christ, that magical man who walked on water 2000 years ago, who fed the 5 thousand with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, cursed a fig tree, healed a blindman and a leper and was miraculously resurrected after being crucified on a cross, who is in  fact God himself, was born in Bethlehem, a town that geographically is located in the Israeli occupied west bank, in the state of Palestine.

The police had issued Fiona a “non compliance of a suspended order”, after she received a 12 week sentence suspended for 18 months in mid November this year for 6 charges of causing “gross offense” in her livestreams on Telegram and Tiktok, and 2 posts she made to her Twitter account.

They say her video violated this suspended order. At the time, she was under no bail that meant she could not post on social media. This is a claim being widely made that is false.

The Wiltshere police arrested her on Saturday morning, searched her in front of her 7 year old daughter, drove her an hour to custody before searching her again, and making her wait in a prison cell for 5 hours. They then told her she was arrested over several complaints of antisemitism which were made regarding her Tiktok video asking people to “make christmas palestinian”, then put her back in the cell for 6 hours while the CPS made a decision.

They then bailed her until at least February, giving strict orders she should not post anything on social media until the hearing at least, and drove her home.

In total, she was in police custody for 14 hours, 11 of them spent in a jail cell.

The complaints seem to originate after a Zionist with a history of pro-Israeli activism living in Israel, wrote a post on his blog arguing Jesus Christ, that magical man who could walk on water and died for all of our sins, was in fact a Jew from Judea, and that what Fiona was doing by asking people to donate to Palestinian charities and to think of those more unfortunate than us this Christmas, like those under occupation, genocide and forced starvation, was in fact, antisemitic.

He even bragged about being the source of the complaints on social media.

Fiona Ryan arrested again. This time for saying "make Christmas palestinian"

It is illegal to report from Lebanon without prior accreditation by the Ministry of Information.

On the day Niels and I arrived, a new rule was introduced specifically excluding online media from accreditation, which is now limited to print newspapers and broadcast TV stations only.

All freelance journalists and independent TV production companies are also specifically excluded.

As you will have noticed, by restricting legal publication and reporting from Lebanon to only print newspapers and TV stations – overwhelmingly billionaire or state-owned – the Lebanese Government is in effect saying “Zionist, pro-Israeli coverage only”.
