Labourer/Team Lead - Landscape Construction Team

Position: Landscape

Construction Team Positions
Brush Home & Garden Ltd. is an integrated design and build landscape company located in Calgary, Alberta.
We specialize in creating stunning outdoor spaces that seamlessly blend natural beauty with contemporary
design. Our commitment to excellence and high-quality installations sets us apart in the industry.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with various landscape construction tasks, including excavation, grading, planting, and
hardscaping
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• Operate hand tools, small power tools (both electric and gas), and heavy equipment as needed.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Follow project plans and specifications to deliver exceptional results.
Qualifications:
• This is physical work; must be able to lift 50lb--Work Outside.
• Quality first Mindset, detail oriented, patient, positive attitude, and willing to learn.
• No specific experience required, but must be comfortable learning and applying yourself; past
experience in any construction-based field considered strong asset
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (considered an asset; not required; must be able to get to and from sites
around city of Calgary in timely manner if not able to drive via other means).
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, etc.).
• Construction experience (knowledge of landscape construction techniques and materials). Permeable
paving applications, traditional hardscape construction, horticultural knowledge; all considered strong
assets.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and small power tools.
• Timely, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Contract Information:
Duration - 6 Months; Start date is weather dependant—targeting May 1-October 15.

Hours - Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00; occasional Saturday. Overtime pay.
Compensation – Hourly; $22.00 - $33.00 (Based on past experience and qualifications)
