What's the reason to go to Harvard if one only seeks pointless prestige and respectively conferred title?

Anyone applying for the fall 2025, before considering any prospect of after-school education, please (and that's my genuine request), figure out your place in life. It does not matter if it takes a month, a year, or a decade.

Commit to long-term endeavors.

If you show a keen interest in programming, make it a part of your life, materializing the wildest ideas in reality, helping your community through your technical acumen, solving most acute global predicaments with all your coding might;

philosophy? Extensively peruse the fundamental texts, tasting this school and that, scrutinizing/critiquing most potent thoughts, challenging the more prominent representatives, be it Descartes, Kant, or Epictetus.

piano? Never dare to even touch the instrument if there is any forceful outside push. Play once an authentic will presents itself. Yet once you start, never let go.

Do not think that you will miss out on life if you do not gain the approval of the top-drawer colleges.

The Ivy glamour has blinded many of us for way too long; don't you think it's time to revamp their definition of success and draw the line between them and your worth?

*Yes, We got to the finals, being among TOP 12 on local competition of NASA's Hackathon.

This was one of invaluable experiences that I ever had. I got to define what true Teamwork is.

NASA hackathon: we got to the finals.

7th October, 12AM, ideation commenced right after the solemn opening. We swapped challenges precisely 3 times, ceasing on planetary tourism. Brainstormed on the solution for racking 3-4 hours. 4-5 hours were whiled away rambling on and thinking through the solution.

For me, it was only free coffee break and dinner that gave some meager stimulus; nah no! *experience! I heartily pined for gaining a deeper insight into the development of Artificial Intelligence systems that can later be integrated in solutions for some of the global hazards (kidding).

Abdulaziz (@kharezmi_notes) came having nil sleep yet kept pushing. Azizmurod (@fsavedmessages (aka the creator of the iconic Ivy League stickers)) pulled an all-nighter to bring the implementation (website) about.

8th October. I was expected to be at the premises by 8.30. What did I do? I woke up at 8.30. the deadline for the presentations was 12am. I was lying, thinking that it's probably the final point that we managed to somehow drag ourselves into. But wait! The inner self kicking in saying "The moment you put up on the project, you will have a massive stain on your image. This moment of you just letting go will be remembered forever. How will you live with the fact that you committer a cowardice?" No washing my face, no breakfast, straight into Canva after coaxing myself.

First draft - sh*t! Guys disenchanted me. Second - used AI. However! It lacked the major component - content! Which challenge are we solving? What solution are we offering? How this solution can be realized? What how where when how much.....? That made me even more despondent. 'Fook it, let's keep pushing. I ain't losing nothing!'

2 hours were squandered on what sort of presentation we want to make. Another 2 hours were used to actually bring it into reality. The deadline - 12am - was moved to 1pm. Delight! Sighs! Brain was somehow braining. The presentation was complete.

6 hours waiting for the decisions to come out while wrapping up with the demo model. 6pm decision are finally out. While collecting ourselves for the event hall, Sardor kept up his optimism when me and Azizmurod were convincing each other of not passing the first stage. Like "How on Earth would we be able to get to the finals?" We were convinced.

We took a seat with zero expectations. For us, it would be even better to not get to the finals, as, well, the project was a total 'tripe' and we were not ready to present it. Knowing we will not be within the 12 teams, we gave up hope and started judging the projects for ourselves. "Hmm nah that one was really solid. Damn look that team..they worked a lot on that. AHAH obviously."

"Команда Небула" echoed across the sprawling spectator-filled room. Gazes back and forth at one another. I looked at Azizmurod, he at me, then Sardor. "How?" There was more of bewilderedness than glee in our eyes. Perhaps a pint of confidence [now that we knew that our job was better than the rest of ~60 teams]. We were in the final 12! For us that the most improbable outcome. Against all odds we kept pushing. Who'd know perhaps with better preparedness and more creativity, we could've come out stronger.

"[Reading books serves as an invaluable resource in the preparation for any examination"*As I geared up for the August DSAT Exam, I decided to challenge myself to read more. Admittedly, I was not much of a bookworm back then, and the transition was not a walk in the park. But eventually, reading became more than a task; it became a passion. I started loving it; enjoyed learning new vocabulary; and saw great progress in my overall English Language Development.(Books I've completed so far: The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka + Great Expectations by Charles Dickenson). Soon, I realized that my journey was not just about exam prep, but was an odyssey of self-improvement***).

Now, I am reading the book "Around the World in 80 Days." For those who recall the animated "Around the World with Willy Fog*," this book is a delightful nostalgia trip. I have already devoured 50 pages in a single day.

Reading is not just a preparation tool; it's a lifelong adventure.*@kharezmi_notes
